Crossroads Wellness Coaching

Life Coaching offers an opportunity to increase your awareness and self-understanding. I partner with each individual to discover his/her/their pathway to positive change, one that can enhance growth, clarity, and inner wisdom. My coaching style is respectful, warm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic. We are all complex beings. As such, I honor that you are the expert of your own experience. Together, let's collaborate to achieve your goals. I am, and have been, a licensed clinical social worker for 10+ years and in private practice for 1.5 years. Mental health therapy and life coaching are very different. Coaching embraces the present and future, while therapy adds a deep dive into the past to better understand historic patterns, trauma, origins of addiction, and so much more. Although there are areas of crossover, e.g., goal-setting, skill-building, mindfulness, there are very important differences. I offer a free 15-min consult to answer any questions, as well as to ensure that this is the right time to explore coaching instead of therapy.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have been a social worker in multiple agency settings, including county mental health, outpatient behavioral health, hospice, and the Veterans Administration. Working across a wide spectrum of individuals, couples, and families with varying needs and life barriers has taught me so much and informed my work as a Life Coach. I started my own business 1.5 yrs ago to pursue my own life goals: travel and time for creative pursuits. At age 51, I moved to NYC to study documentary filmmaking. Having my own business allows me the flexibility to be of service to others through coaching and to live my dream!

Why should our clients choose you?

I love supporting others to make changes that expand possibilities. Also, I live my values by taking risks outside my comfort zone, dreaming big, accepting when things don't unfold in the ways I've hoped, and trying again. Change takes change, and can be hard work. But, the alternative? Time passes either way - whether or not you're living in alignment with your values. Let's do this!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I am bi-coastal (OR and NY) and offer virtual sessions. For those living in the NYC area, walking sessions and/or in person sessions are available.
