Eric Bailey of Catalyst Coaching and Sportlab knows what he is doing. If you have a goal and are willing to do the work, he is the coach that can help you put all of the pieces together. This includes the physical and mental aspects as well as dealing with hydration, nutrition and rest. I was an endurance athlete who came into the sport of running and triathlon later in life, completing my first marathon at age 45. This evolved into the dream of completing an ironman. I just wanted to cross the finish line of the Louisville race but knew making the bike cutoff would be a huge challenge for me. Eric was confident from the start that he could get me there. I worked with Eric for 10 months to prepare for my race. My daily workouts were challenging and helped me grow in all 3 disciplines but by the time I stood at the starting line I knew I was capable of finishing. There were times when I would question the reasoning behind some aspects of my training and Eric was always able to provide an answer that made me feel confident in his plan for me. My cycling speed and strength had improved immensely especially in the last 6-10 weeks. I was fortunate to start the race injury free and to not encounter any mechanical issues with my bike. I had my first DNF in the half distance earlier in the year due to high winds and I knew similar conditions would challenge both my speed and confidence on race day. Sure enough, it was a windy day. Eric had helped me develop strategies for the race that made me feel pretty confident going in but were hard to hang onto once the wind (and rain) started to have a significant impact on my speed. I did finish the bike and felt unbelievably good on my run. I finished with over an hour to spare. Although I was determined and did the work, the plan Eric prepared and constantly modified for me made me strong enough, fast enough and confident enough to be able to say "I am an ironman!"

I have been a psychotherapist and coach for over 30 years. I draw on my innate intuitive abilities as well as my traditional clinical training to bring guidance and transformation to my clients. My family systems background allows me to see the individual as a multifaceted system. I appreciate that what we often perceive as a “problem” reflects how we have adapted to the stress and trauma that we may have endured.

I have experience as a psychotherapist. This helps me understand where clients are at a deeper level. This helps me establish and maintain relationships with clients such that we can focus on where clients want to go based on their strengths and the resources they can access. It's important that the work focuses primarily on amplifying the positive aspects of the clients life without getting too caught up in negative experiences that have caused them to become bogged down repeating old patterns that cause them suffering and difficulty living the life they want.
