My mother was a hopeful entrepreneur. She also would have made an excellent life coach if this career was around when she was alive. She served as a wise counselor to so many people, even the social workers and therapists who visited her to help after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Giving up the stable 9 to 5 took a lot of prayers, but I am a witness that if you take one step and act in faith, you will see the blessings manifest themselves in ways that WILL MAKE YOU say, "Wow, that was you, God."
There are many life coaches. As I learned in my own search, finding the right one that you can connect and communicate well with (like the right job or mate) takes effort and patience. A good coach should be honest with you if he or she does not think it would be a good fit for you, too. I would be thorough, honest, dependable, and can understand where you are and what you are striving for. My preferred client is currently working through some transitions in life, understands the role of a life coach, and lives in the DMV.
