As a prior victim of child abuse and neglect, I have come to learn how to use my own strategies to overcome the strongholds that have paralyzed me in my youth and finally learned how to heal. Unfortunately, these skills do not come naturally and it took many years of struggling before realizing the hard way that our mental health system is broken. I want to prevent others from wasting 20, 30 or even 40 years of your valuable lives before you also realize that today’s “standard treatment” often provides superficial outcomes and lacks sustainable results.
