What’s your interior design process?

Which interior design styles can you cater for?

I have been designing residential interiors of almost 20 years, and in that time have worked in just about every style you can name. One of my chief strengths is my ability to listen closely and help you articulate and execute your vision, so that your home is a unique expression of you and the things you love.

What do you love most about your job?

I love helping others create their own haven in this crazy world, a place where they feel safe, comfortable and surrounded by beauty that is as unique to them as their fingerprints.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was working as a designer in a retail environment when the pandemic hit. We were sent home to work for 4 months. At that time, I started hearing from customers who were struggling with makeshift home offices. I left my job in September 2020, got certified in office ergonomic evaluation, and started my own business specializing in home office design, which I did for about a year. Then, as things began returning to "normal," I switched to my first love, whole-home design.

I have been designing interiors for a long time. Having gotten my start in furniture retail, I know a great deal about furniture construction. (I trained staff in upholstery, fabric, and leather construction at Room & Board). I can help you make wise decisions about quality and value.

I am a careful listener and interpreter of my clients' spoken and unspoken hopes for their space(s). I'm patient, soft-spoken, and thoughtful, and I like making the process simple and fun.

You want someone who is a careful steward of your money. I work within your budget, or, if you need assistance, I can help you determine a budget that works for you.

I charge a flat fee based on the square footage of your space and the complexity of the work. You will know what you are paying upfront.

You will receive moodboards, floor plans (2D, 3D, and renderings available), and swatches/samples as available. I do everything I can to help you see the design so that you are comfortable with your decisions. Then, I send you an itemized list of purchases with hyperlinks that will take you directly to the vendors websites for purchasing. If you need to see/feel/sit on product, I will help you locate a showroom near you.

You will receive an email from me every Friday with a status update, and of course I will contact you immediately if need be.

You are making a big investment, and I want you to love and enjoy everything for years to come. That's why I provide care information for your purchases, as well as information on any Protection Plans and manufacturers' warrantys that are available.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am fully vaccinated. I do much of my work online, and when I do visit your home, I always wear a mask and use hand sanitizer.
