Ever since my trip to Egypt and Morocco last year, I've been obsessed w/the gorgeous lanterns, mother-of-pearl adorned tables, and just the overall style of North African household goods. Â My friends and I were wandering around and came across this store which is stocked full of gorgeous stuff from that region. Â Unfortunately, things were way overpriced compared to the prices I was able to bargain in the souks, but that is to be expected. Â I think in the grand scheme of things, though, it is cheaper to come down here to buy pretty things than to fly all the way to Africa :-)If you are curious about the style, you should definintely check it out. The sales person (I think he might've been the owner?) was very friendly and helpful.

I forget how I found these guys but I used them twice now, both times to repair wood furniture.. I thought these pieces were goners but I’d say they are 95% restored. If you really have an expert eye you might notice the repairs but otherwise they look like new. Considering the level of damage, my expectations were far exceeded by their work. They matched the colors *exactly* so the patching material blended seamlessly with the original wood. And I think their prices are reasonable. Definitely hire them.
