Michelle is an excellent interior designer! When I met Michelle, I had recently moved to the area for work, and I was living alone in a large one-bedroom apartment. I wanted to give my apartment bedroom a makeover that would be stylish and posh with a touch of luxury, which was a tall order given my small budget! But Michelle worked her magic and made it happen- all while staying well within the budget I gave her.
Michelle started by taking extensive notes on exactly the look I wanted and measuring the spaces for artwork and drapes. I knew I was in good hands because Michelle’s demeanor was warm and inviting, and she really took the time to listen to me and understand the aesthetic I was going for. In a very short time span, my bedroom was transformed from drab to fab! It honestly looks far better than many of the design magazines I poured over, and it turned out better than I could have imagined.
The finished product is stylish with a touch of luxury, just as I requested, and it is also very relaxing! I love being in my bedroom now. Michelle even went above what I requested and added a few accessories that I had not seen, so the final revealed product was a true surprise and treat for me. She also sent me suggestions on how to enhance the space further after she completed the project. I really can’t say enough great things about Michelle! I have two ways in which I work with clients:
Path 1 - Virtual Interior Design (Online): This way works for those who desire interior design guidance and plan, but prefer to implement projects themselves. I offer professional design recommendations and provide an easy-to-follow style guide with as much content as you'll ever need to make self-purchases.
Path 2 - Full Service: I will assess the full scope of your project followed by a design vision, 3D renderings as needed, project and furnishing plan and budget. I work with certified, insured and bonded contractors and subs as necessary to carry out the body of work to ensure projects are completed.
With either direction, I help remove the barriers and sense of overwhelm which often occurs during a project due to endless choices and options in the marketplace. You're hiring me to sift through to find the heart and soul of your project aspirations and bring them to life. I implement feng shui principles, which is simple a form of modality that looks to optimize the best flow of energy or 'chi' within a space to ensure the best and also most practical method of spatial planning for the space.
I lead clients through a questionnaire to help identify their needs and desires. I begin the design process by identifying their main design style, followed by more specific aesthetic preferences and finally by articulating their design project with key design descriptors. I have the ability of accomplishing any of the three major styles listed below. In any project I do, I look at the space holistically to see how be optimize the best energy flow through applying practical Feng Shui principles. Most clients may not realize that Feng Shui is already happening all around you. I help to tune in to how spaces can work better and "feel" more inviting.

I love the creative renewal I get from travel (both near and far) and how travel helps influence my design projects - anything from seeing hand-painted tiles from Portugal or even the majestic beauty of a towering butte in Utah and its blazing colors at sunset. I wanted to help inspire clients to realize that we sometimes appreciate home more fully when we have opportunities to go somewhere else exploring life's beauty. It's when we return from those experiences with stories and memories that we fill our personal spaces with objects, artifacts and mementos that allow us to create spaces that's more personal and meaningful.

Yes, I can provide interior design services online and remotely via Zoom where I will deliver pdf style guides to your email inbox. I can not do renovation work such as kitchen and bathrooms, however, through an online platform as that level of work requires precision and often includes the expertise of a general contractor.
I practice Covid-19 safety procedures beginning with mask wearing to sites, as requested by clients. Consistent hand-washing and hand sanitizing steps are taken while on the project premises. I also carry a digital thermometer to take readings to relay to team. I can also take rapid testing to maximize safety and to ease concerns both personally and for the benefit of clients.
