I have to append my review. Â This lady saved my bacon by taking me back after my other plans fell through. Â And I may say, it was literally the day before. Â The word on the street is that she is very smart and effective and well respected by lawyer colleagues. Â We'll see. Â I'm in a mess, getting deported (and then issued a valid visa. Â Don't you feel safe). Â Update to come.***update. Â I have to say, this lady is a class act. Â She reminded me very subtly that I need a little lesson in humility, and (gasp) that I don't know it all... Â So I'm still waiting, waiting for things to get sorted out. Â In the meantime, I sure appreciated her candor and direction. Â Will update more when there is something to write. Â In the meantime I am pleased with how things are progressing.

Very pleased with my experience. The staff was professional and courteous. I was a bit nervous about talking to someone about my specific legal needs and wasn't sure what was and was not important to tell the attorney. The lawyer was very patient with me and helped me to sort through the pertinent information. I never felt like I was wasting my time or theirs and felt good after the initial consultation. After consulting a few attorneys, I was very happy to find Chinchilla & Associates. One thing- the attorney is a straight-shooter. He did not sugarcoat anything or make empty promises. I appreciate this in a professional as you are never really sure whether someone is making empty promises  that they cannot fulfill just to earn your business. The attorney was very candid about how he could help me with my case and did not make any empty promises. Other attorneys made many promises but as it turns out, after I asked several follow-up questions, when it sounded too good to be true, it really was.
