My background has always been in the drug and alcohol field for 25 years I worked for a large health care organization in San Diego as a drug & alcohol counselor. My practice focuses on many modalities mainly my clients have been wanting to release their anxiety which can be caused from anything such as work stress, problems within their families. Anxiety can happen to everyone from time to time. Sometimes though it gets overwhelming and needs to be released and this is where I come in and help them find the problem and release it. I work with clients that have issue's with, Anxiety & panic attacks. Also struggling, with weight loss as well as smoking cessation. As well as anyone that has problems with addictions which can range from sugar, chocolate, drug's & alcohol problems. I deal with people that need help coping with chronic pain from Fibromyalgia, certain types of cancer, chronic migraine headaches. And so many more problems. Also, can help you getting over your fears such as from flying, bugs including bees (which was my own fear for a very long time). I also have the ability to travel to the client's home if that will be more comfortable for them or my office is Encinitas as well as at my home office in San Marcos. I leave the where usually up to the client which is usually decided during the free 20-30 minute free phone consultation.
It is truly amazing to watch my clients come into my office and pain and be able to really get the help and release whatever the problem was coming in. Sometimes depending on what is the issue I can help them in only one to two sessions. Hypnotherapy is truly amazing and very effective.
My business got started due to the tragic loss of my 12-year-old daughter Denise in 1993. As you can imagine I was a mess for a very long time and just going through the motions of life, but I had 4 other kids to take care of, so I really had to be there for them as well as myself. Then in 1996 I started to receive post cards from the school to learn hypnosis to help people learn how to deal with so many of life’s problems without the use of drug and “traditional therapy”. But like many people I thought hypnosis was just for show and couldn’t do much good for anything. So, I kept throwing these cards away, & they kept coming back for about two months. My oldest son Kurt said hey mom maybe they really can do what they say hypnosis does and you could help your patients and maybe even yourself what have you got to lose go check it out. Which I finally did, I was very impressed with the school and the instructor. We talked for a while, and he said I would be a great therapist but first I needed to heal own pain. (I hadn’t told him about the accident) I told him that was probable true but just wasn’t ready. I stalled for another 6 months but finally did schedule my session and it was amazing to say the least. During my own hypnotherapy session I was able to release Denise & the man that killed her. It was so powerful I knew this type of therapy is what I wanted to learn about and use with my own clients.
I feel through my own loss and the healing that I was able to have while in hypnotherapy I can really empathize with the people that have called me to help them. I have been through a lot of the same things they are feeling, from anger, anxiety, sadness, depression & even drug alcohol abuse. My clients get my full attention during the session and after through phone calls and emails when appropriate. I can get through the suffering they are experiencing and help them clear the issues once and for all.
