Pat is a great teacher! He is patient and kind! He works with kids of all ages and teaches them with a smile! We've been working with Pat for about 6 months and our son loves learning lead guitar songs! Pat takes the time to write out the song for him to learn and rock out! I highly recommend Pat Hurley for anyone who wants to learn how to play guitar. He takes his time to teach you the right way to set you up for success in the future!
Guitar Teacher, Song writer. Acoustic, Electric, Popular, Folk, Rock, Dirt and Dust, some Rockabilly Blues and some jazz (I am NOT a classical guitar instructor). Teaching music since 1989. I like to teach my students- so they know the reasons why chords go where they go - then you can figure out a lot of music much easier. Some scales are good for rock and country solos, so let's have some fun on the guitar. These lessons are offered solely by me. Yes, I do teach at a premier school in Irvine, California associated with the Pacific Symphony.
I love seeing and hearing the joy of learning to play music come through my students of all ages. From youngsters just learning the basics, young adults getting some serious skills, older folks having a blast playing and creating in music together - it's wonderful! There is simply nothing like it!
There are many needs for people to learn music in various capacities. I am so honored and pleased to be able to share my experience and musical background with so many wonderful learners. I have taught music to auto designers at Hyundai Motors. Guitar and Ukulele at the YMCA of Newport Beach, CA, also at Great Park Orange County, and in many music school sites in this area. I have found myself in the business of sharing music since 1989!
