I have taught hundreds of clients guitar/bass/vocals/and song writing - all ages, all levels. I’m familiar with everything from the current pop scene, indie, classic rock, blues, folk, country, jazz. I’ve done it all. Former clients include the multi-platinum band Incubus. I have been a recording artist and songwriter with Motown and Columbia Records.

I wanted to pick back up playing the violin, but since I hadn't played since high school, I knew I would be starting from scratch. I called Rick at LA Music Teachers who connected me right away with a teacher and had me starting the very next week! I am now 10 months in, and still really enjoying it. My teacher Xochitl (Zoe-Chee) is super talented, and super patient. She works a ton with children, but had no problem pivoting to a middle-aged adult. When she learned I had some music theory background, she made sure to always reinforce the lesson with the theory points behind it. She is very diligent about reinforcing the basics, that will create a strong foundation, but she allowed me to "free-style" with my own piece I was interested in playing, and included that piece in our lesson work. And while I'm sure she would love it if I had more time to practice, she never makes me feel bad about my level of progress or having to go back over things. Highly recommend!!

The service was to take down my holiday lights on my roof gutters and windows. The handyman assisted with organizing and packing the lights back in their tote boxes. He also assisted in getting the totes back in my attic. As an added bonus, he let me know of a few minor issues on my roof that need to be taken care of so that they don't lead to any long term problems.

2 years ago I had ankle injury that forced myself to find an alternative hobby. So I bought my first acoustic guitar right after the injury and have never looked back, I immediately fell in love with guitar... Â I picked up some youtube lessons here and there, did private lessons with 2 other studios- but nothing compares to Carlos Bolivar at Paige studios.Carlos has a passion and love for teaching music that is undeniable from the first lesson I took. He has an ability to break a song down and play at my pace until each piece is complete and perfect. I have really enjoyed learning music/ guitar with Carlos. I would highly recommend anyone who's interested in beginning guitar to use Carlos... I wish I would have started with him 2 years ago, it would have saved me a lot of time and money with other teachers.
