My name, “Antigone,” which means “in place of a mother” in Greek, perfectly embodies my mission. As the owner of TAILored Pet Services, I wanted to offer a nurturing, motherly care to pets, treating them as beloved family members just as they are.
Growing up in Western Washington, my love for animals was evident from a young age. I started pet sitting for friends and neighbors when I was just 10 years old, and my household was always filled with the joyful presence of dogs. Walking them became a cherished part of my daily routine.
After a decade in the newspaper industry, I shifted my focus to making a difference in people’s lives through various local non-profits. I spent five years working with organizations like Providence Hospice & Home Care, Village Theatre, and Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. While this work was incredibly fulfilling, my passion for animals remained strong. I realized that my true calling was to work with animals directly, so I traded my professional attire for jeans and sneakers and founded TAILored Pet Services.
Today, as the owner of TAILored Pet Services, I continue to combine my love for animals with my commitment to community service. I actively support animal welfare by participating in events and collaborating with organizations such as the Animal Rescue Foundation of Everett, NOAH, Save A Mutt, and Old Dog Haven. While we’re passionate about providing top-notch care for your pets, our services are more hands-on than digital. Unfortunately, we can’t walk your dog remotely—leashes and paws don’t come with Wi-Fi capabilities!
However, we do offer online conveniences to keep you connected. For instance, after every walk, we send delightful snapshots and progress notes straight to your email, so you can see all the fun your furry friend is having. Think of it as our version of a “paws”itive update!

How We’ve Adapted to Keep You and Your Pets Safe During COVID-19
At Tailored Pet Services, we take your safety—and the safety of our team—very seriously. We’ve implemented several measures to ensure a secure experience while still delivering the personalized care your pets love:
When You’re Not Home:
Vaccination and Protection: Most of our walkers are fully vaccinated. For added precaution, those who aren’t are equipped with masks, and we’re happy to wear gloves upon request.
Solo Strolls: We only walk dogs from the same household together, ensuring that each outing is as safe and personalized as possible.
Minimal Contact: To limit our time inside your home, we jot down visit details in the car and send you a text with updates and photos, keeping in-person interaction to a minimum.
When You Are Home:
Advance Notice: We’ll reach out the night before with an approximate arrival time for the following day, so you’re not left guessing.
Safe Arrival: Upon arriving, we’ll contact you to let you know we’re there, and approach your home wearing a mask. Gloves will be used at your request.
Personalized Care: Just like when you’re not home, we only walk dogs from the same household together and avoid close contact with others. We’ll ring the doorbell or send a text when we’re done, keeping the process smooth and safe.
