You love your dog, I work tirelessly to love them too. Providing the best level of care, affection, and experience for your pets is what I do best. Being able to spend my time working closely with dogs and puppies is possibly the greatest job in the world. Each animal has their own personality and I’m incredibly enthusiastic about getting to know each individually. I’ve spent several years perfecting my role and improving myself so that I know each and every client receives the finest service they possibly can.
I’m able to completely tailor the walking experience to your dog and their specific needs. If your dog is more energetic, we can devise a longer route with more activities, or shorten it to an easy stroll for older or recovering dogs. Puppy walking can be particularly challenging for new owners so I can really help out there. I can provide a dog sitting service too for when you’re out and about for extended periods.
I have a CPD accredited Dog Walking Certificate Level 3. I’ve also completed Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Courses. Finally, I’ve worked closely with several highly experienced dog walkers over the years. I’m fully insured and can provide these details on request.

Last year we rescued a 3-year-old female American Staffordshire Terrier who began to exhibit undesirable behaviors which included aggressiveness toward our other dog, our 80-year old California Desert Tortoise, cars, motorcycles, bikes, scooters, crows, other dogs, kids, adults, and just about anything that moved. James has worked with my dog and me for several months, but behavioral changes occurred immediately after only a couple sessions with him. He taught me to work with my dog so that I’m able to take her for long walks at the park and around the neighborhood with all the usual triggers without incident. She no longer tugs on the leash or lunges at distractions, and she is no longer a threat to our tortoise and our other dog. We love going to James’ Sunday group classes at Liberty Station where he orchestrates large groups of dogs and owners with enthusiasm, ease, expertise, compassion, and humor. During these classes dogs learn to socialize and interact with other dogs both on and off leash with fun and competitive activities – weaving in and out of other dogs in a circle, the “Versus Battle,” walking in formation, and much more. Walking my dog off leash was never a goal and I never thought or expected we’d accomplish this, but we have. James is knowledgeable and has a great command with dogs. He has truly exceeded our expectations, and thanks to him we now have harmony in our household.

We hired Prime Pet to help us deal with several behavioral issues with both of our dogs and they have corrected every single one! James has been wonderful to work with! From leash aggression, to incessant barking / separation anxiety to resource guarding and lunging at our tv whenever dogs are on. Our dogs (1 puppy and the other 4 years old) are better socialized, more confident and understand boundaries. James does a great job explaining the why's so we understand what the corrective action needs to be and when. His methods are proven and I guarantee you will get positive results!
