Marina came to my home today and groomed both my long-haired and my regular-coated German Shepherds. She was great with my dogs and kept them calm with treats and patience. She did a beautiful job on them and trimmed up my long-hair where she gets straggly, and trimmed her legs and feet. They were both deshedded so nicely. She took her time and did such a thorough job. They look beautiful and smell so nice. I highly recommend her to care for your pets.

Our journey with Tandem Canines started about a year ago when our cocker spaniel bit my daughter’s hand (in a provoked situation) and then me just a few weeks later when I pushed him off of a soda can he was happily licking. He had no issues with my husband or other men, but grew increasingly aggressive around females. We had no idea what we did to onset that behavior. Out of concern for my daughter and household visitors, we were afraid we would have to give him up.
Thank goodness we were referred to Jessica at Canine Tandems. We invested in a full program of weekly trainings at parks and in public spaces hoping to help our dog understand his place and develop safer habits. Working with Jessica we quickly learned that we also needed to learn safer habits, and that owner consistency is most of the work of dog training.
We had a few bumps along the way as our whole family (including our dog) learned together. If you want training to work, it really does require the same commitment from every family member. Jessica even helped us find a groomer who does an amazing job with our dog. I keep in touch regularly with Jessica to share the good and any setbacks as we’re getting better every day!
Here are just a few things we can do now that I never thought would be possible:
- Take walks like pros. People are amazed at how great of a walker Oreo is, and now I can’t help but chuckle watching people get dragged by (or drag along) their dog.
- Go on long, comfortable car rides, and EAT in the car! Trust me, kennels are your friend.
- Bring Oreos out in public and trust he’ll be well-behaved, like to Home Depot or the park. He can walk, heel, sit, stay, come, and place literally anywhere on command.
- Have people over! That first bite was at home with visitors so I was mortified we would never be able to have house guests again. Now we have guests ALL the time and Oreo knows his place. We also take the opportunity to teach people, especially young kids, about respecting animals and their space.
- Be physically affectionate with our dog again. We were very nervous at first about our interactions, but now I know his body cues and can respond immediately. I can quickly remove him from triggering situations and he listens to my familiar commands even when stressed. Y’all, we SNUGGLE face to face, and I am able to trust my dog again because he trusts me!
If you’re struggling with your dog’s behavior, whether it’s aggression or just trying to develop better leash skills, don’t second guess this team. Thank you Tandem Canines!!

I believe in a structured lifestyle with boundaries to help gain ultimate fulfillment for your dog. Once owners have more confidence in themselves the dogs follow suit. The journey doesn’t start and end with just the dog in mind, but rather in establishing a bond between the owner and pet that will last a lifetime.

Blue has been exceptional with training my husky, Sasha. Being my first dog, and having everyone warn me against getting a husky because of the “usual” ownership experience, it has been a breeze with Blues help. He is the ideal home dog and companion, with being calm, loving, and incredibly intelligent with commands.

When my Brinley got sick, I wasn't sure how to work and give her meds to her during the day. I had reached out to Stephanie to help me. She is the only one I trust with my pups. She loves her clients like they were her own. I am truly grateful to have found her. She is very knowledgeable, patient with pawrents, and loves what she does. I will continue to use her for any private/class training and for any other services offered. It's a great feeling having someone you can trust in your home and with your pups. Thank you Stephanie for always being there to help me with Brinley and Daisy.

Smart K9 offers training courses for puppies, good dogs who need some manners, and dogs with behavior issues. We love solving behavior problems and customizing each training course to the needs of our clients. If you're tired of your puppy biting, jumping, and peeing in your house, we can help. We can also help you with your dog that pulls you down the street, growls at other dogs, and more. Let us help you train your dog and enjoy your dog.
I love helping people learn about their dogs. The best part of the job is seeing the owner's face light up when they realize that their dog is capable of amazing things . Watching owners and dogs have fun together is a dream come true!
After having experience with other dog training companies, I really loved the idea of managing my own business and treating my customers in the best way possible. I can be more flexible with customers and make sure they get results instead of just following company protocol. I love the freedom I have to communicate with my clients any time they have questions.
If you're looking for a dog trainer that wants to see you succeed, then you've come to the right place. My goal is to train you to train your dog. By teaching your dog the meaning of "yes" and "no" along with many other skills, we will create an environment where your dog actually listens to you and knows how to respond to present and future situations. With this strategy, you'll be solving your own dog problems in no time.
