I love working with dogs and teaching their humans. As a former secondary education teacher, I understand how people learn as well as how canines learn. Training can make the difference in keeping a dog in a home. Most dogs are surrendered for bad behavior and many families don't realize that they are adolescents and help is available. The most gratifying part of my business is knowing that I have help a dog and his family through training and behavior modification. My techniques are positive and reward based: no pain or fear ever.
My father owned his own family business so I grew up in a family supported by small business. I have trained successfully for other large pet businesses and wanted to be on my own, establishing my own curriculum, implementing my own methods and ideals. By keeping my business small, I know that I can afford one on one time with every student in every class. I know that clients private or in classes are receiving the best possible training and care.
I graduated with honors from the Animal Behavior College in 2007 and have 10 years of formal training experience. I attend educational seminars annually to stay abreast of the latest methods and to hone my skills. I have achieved the highest credentials for a trainer and love what I do. I take my work very seriously and am responsible about who I can help, referring those I can't to Veternarian Behaviorists.
