We signed up for seven lessons for our 2 1/2 year old Border Collie. The most important behavior we wanted corrected, was our dogs reluctance to get into the car. Brandon was our trainer. He first taught us how to gain dominance and to get the dog to perform basic obedience. When this was accomplished, Brandon taught us how to have the dog get into the car without any gimmicks but patience. He let the dog decide, on his own, to get in. The procedure made sense. I'm happy to report, my dog got into the car on his own, without any waiting, after a couple of times working with Brandon. For the first time, to go to the groomers, the dog willingly got in without a struggle or me trying to pick him up and force him in. My husband and I were so proud! Thank you Brandon for teaching us! Before we got our puppy, I was behind Tony's van in New Cumberland and committed the name to memory as I knew I would need a trainer. A month later, we brought home our welsh terrier, Quincy. I called Tony when he was 3 months old and our training journey began. Tony came and did an evaluation first and we began training once or twice a month depending on his schedule. Tony established a great connection with Quincy and my husband and I were active participants in the training. Tony appreciated the feedback we gave him and tailored sessions to our needs and helped us correct our missteps as well throughout the training. I can’t express how grateful we are for Alpha and Omega. We had a puppy that we were hoping to be an emotional support dog for our autistic twins. At the age of 6 months old we instead had a 100 pound uncontrollable puppy. He would bark at everything and was so reactive to everything and everyone. I was embarrassed to walk him. Best decision we ever made! We have a 5 month old female GSD. I was at my breaking point- the biting, the jumping up, the barking…did I mention the biting?! Ray boarded and trained Athena and the results are phenomenal! He was able to teach us how to communicate properly to Athena. It’s like we have a completely different dog!
