OLK9 uses marker training, but we specialize in e-collar training to gain amazing obedience from your dog. There are a bunch of major misconceptions with e-collar training (see FAQ). E-collar training is more about building confidence and independence through balanced training using reward and praise, than it is about using the e-collar. We help fix behavior issues using behavior modification ranging from mild to major, such as, jumping, biting, aggression, nervousness, uncontrolled barking and more.

We couldn’t have been happier with Gozer’s experience and results. And it is all thanks to his amazing trainer, Brianna!! We had worried he would lose his puppy joy, but he came just as happy and playful as ever. Just now we can confidently take him off leash anywhere we want to go. Thank you so much, Brianna!

Harrison and I are SO glad that we made the decision to train our dog, Hudson, with Capital Canine. Kevin is the absolute best, and we fully trusted him with our 2 year old dog for the 3 week board and train program.
Before training, Hudson struggled with separation anxiety, couldn’t go in a crate or car, was very impulsive and would run away at the park with unreliable recall and boundaries. He is a very sweet natured and fun dog who is great with people, he just needed help learning how to control his energy. Harrison and I did not know where to begin with training, and we felt overwhelmed.
Kevin made it extremely easy for us by doing all the hard work in establishing a behavioral foundation during the 3 week board and train. He even kept Hudson for an extra couple of days as he was committed to getting Hudson comfortable in a crate before bringing him home to us. The transformation has been incredible. After Hudson came home to us, there were immediate improvements. He could hold a place, sit, and down through distraction, and rest in his crate when asked. He understood how the E-collar worked, had better recall, and could heel and walk on a leash without pulling. These basic commands have truly changed our day to day and have helped us create more structure in Hudson’s day.
On top of the 3 week program, Capital Canine continued to be supportive and helpful. Kevin worked with us in 4 additional sessions after the board and train to teach Harrison and myself how to continue the training throughout different environments and scenarios. He would respond to texts in-between sessions when Harrison and I had questions or were unsure of how we were training. He was a great teacher and helped us understand how dogs think and how we can better communicate with them. We really looked forward to these sessions and enjoyed our time with Kevin! Hudson always had a blast too.
A month has now passed since the board and train. We have kept up with Hudson’s training and are confident taking Hudson in public, to parks, family and friend’s houses, and he is a more confident dog in those spaces. The training has been life changing. I am so happy that we did this, not only because it makes our lives easier, but I also know it makes Hudson’s life better too now that he knows boundaries and limits and doesn’t have to feel as anxious as before.
Highly recommend training with Capital Canine. It is worth the time and investment!

My fiancé and I recently just had our German Shepherd, Piper, graduate from Sit Means Sit-Akron/Cleveland! We had attempted everything we could think of trying to get Piper to listen to us and communicate effectively, nothing seemed to be working. She was a very submissive dog when we rescued her so we were not sure what approach to take with her. We finally were referred to Sit Means Sit and it was a complete life changer. We had Jim as our trainer primarily for our classes. He was fantastic! He had a vast knowledge of the training and was full of tips/tricks for at home learning. They completely built up her confidence and she is no longer the very submissive dog we first had. I would definitely recommend this training program!

10/10 recommend. He helped us with our super agressive dog and taught us and demonstrated tools to help us assert dominance. He also showed us how certain actions and habits we had enabled the dogs behavior and how to fix them- and even got into our dog’s psychology. We saw big changes over the course of 4 weeks and are very pleased with how he is setting us up for success. Thank you Marcus!

I can say this, I am very glad I made the decision to contact Brandon for help with training our puppy! He met with us to explain how he works with his dog owners, and their pets. It was a great meeting we felt very comfortable with him and asked many questions which he answered. We met his own dogs as well, they were happy, beautifully trained dream dogs! We are very excited to be working with Brandon learning how to teach our pup.

Absolutely worth it!! I sent my 8 month old German Shepherd for the 15 day board and train and it was definitely worth it! Tom the trainer did a wonderful job with my GSD. I’ve had him back for over a week now and he is completely well mannered dog! I am able to enjoy my dog now, go on walks even without a leash!! I take him everywhere now with me! He’s the same pup but now he is manageable! I get compliments now all the time about how good his behavior is now! If I get another dog we will definitely be coming back!! The staff at bulletproof made me feel comfortable with leaving my dog there for the 15 days. They kept in constant contact with me and updated me with videos throughout the 15 days! I know that my dog was truly happy and loved while in their care!! Because of bulletproof my family is now in love with our GSD even more!!

Ok so where do I start. Been going to this place for about 7 years now. It may be a bit expensive sometimes but they care for the pets as if they were their own. My pet had a cyst on his neck that was due for surgery the week after he needed to be boarded. Now mind you I can't really leave him anywhere else as he doesn't trust anybody else and usually get sick if I try. Well his cyst blew in the middle of his stay. They took him quickly to the vet to get emergency surgery; I obviously did my part taking care of the cost from my end which isn't the point. But after discharging there was a possibility that due to the post-op care he wouldn't be allowed to board anymore. I was out of the country and panicking. The facility manager, Lindsay, took MY pet to HER home and took care of him for the rest of the stay while I got back. I mean, if that doesn't show true care, I don't know what does. They will always have my trust.
We take a holistic all encompassing approach to canine behavior modification. We use science backed methods and always do what's best for the dog in the long term. We specialize in reactivity, undersocialization, and other fear/trauma based issues.

People like Walter don't come along very often. Consider yourself fortunate if you have the chance to have him care for your pets. Walter is a gentle soul, who cares deeply for animals and for people too. He’s also a skilled and patient dog handler, who is very knowledgeable in animal behavior. The evidence of this is demonstrated in the calm, balanced behavior of his own pack of dog ambassadors, which includes several breeds that are often stereotyped as "difficult" or high energy. Our young dog Miles has benefited tremendously from his relatively short amount of time under Walter's care and guidance. Being able to spend time with his pack has been invaluable to Miles as well. He always comes home relaxed, happy and healthy, which is about all you can ask for. We've searched a long time for the right person to help us with our dog, and we're so glad to have found Walter and his family.
We offer private training, video training and boarding and training. We do not offer group training. We’ve been training dogs for years while shadowing and studying. We treat every dog like family and strive for perfection with everything we do!

Zack took the time to come out, have a conversation, and observed both dogs in their natural habitat. I look forward to working with him and the team at perfected canine. The other companies I was a little leery on - the person who called me was from out of state, and they wanted someone to drive to me to pick up my dogs without understanding the situation first. Zack took his time - asked a lot of questions, and gave us realistic expectations.

Ty was exceptional!
We brought our untrained and unruly Jack to Ty for the three week training. Jack was constantly mouthing, jumping, and was overly excited about everything. Ty made everything better!
Jack no longer jumps, he walks calmly on a leash, and he is a master at sit, place, down, and come. He’s still an excited pup, but we are also better trained to be able to calm him quickly.
We received constant pictures, updates, and videos on Instagram.
We are so pleased with the outcome of training.
Ty was great to work with and we are very thankful for his expertise, flexibility, and overall demeanor.
