I began my professional career working with dogs in 2014 while I was in school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I started out simply walking dogs to make some extra money, but that quickly turned into a full-time job. I have been working professionally with dogs for over six years now, and I have been training dogs for three. I have worked diligently to create trusting relationships with hundreds of clients and their dogs.

I love the great care Rebecca at Total Pet Care gives to my animals when they are there. I can sleep well knowing they are in capable hands. Whether it be my elderly dog that needs to lay down for an entire groom over a couple days or my spunky dog that’s a little apprehensive of the clippers, she always makes sure they’re happy and comfortable before proceeding. I’ve also boarded with her, and my two came back better behaved than ever!

We have a three week old newborn and a 1.5 yr old dog. I anticipated the adjustment we would face with a new baby, but I did not consider how our dog would handle it. With help from Jen, using the Family Paws techniques, I have already seen a positive change in our puppy's behavior toward the baby in just the short time since I contacted them! The FPE information has helped me identify "concerning" body language so I can respond accordingly. Dogs are not humans and do not reason the way we do, so it's important to know what behaviors like tail wagging, licking, yawning actually mean for a dog. I would have never learned that had I not stumbled across the Family Paws organization after searching for help. If you have children and dogs in your home (even if you don't think you've seen "questionable" signs), it would be a very wise choice for you to choose Family Paws to help! I am truly so grateful I did! It has been so valuable to our family.

Our family loves the team at Jackie's! We are amazed with out puppy's progress in just a few weeks! We will continue classes for sure. I really like the confidence and positive attitude. I am so glad we found them! Our pup loves the agility lessons especially! I see lots of fun lessons in our future

Dr. Sumakeris, Dr. Strunck and staff are amazing. Â They were incredibly patient and compassionate with both our dogs and especially during the end days of our boy Oscar. Â Everyone who works at this facility shows professionalism and respect for all animals and people. Â I can't say enough good things about Care First @ Grace park

I took my very long haired Maine Coon kitty to get groomed. After telling the office ladies that I would be in my office all day, and not accepting phone calls, I told them how I wanted the cat to have her hair cut, and wrote a letter to the groomer (which clearly never made it to her) -- the groomer called me at work, and acted like she had never gotten the note. Regardless of that, the groomer did an excellent job, which has to be hard to do for on a cat that is fat and fluffy. She even put a cute little bandana around her neck! They only have the long hair cat groomer come in 2 Fridays a month, so the availability kind of stinks, But I will be taking my cat back for sure.

This facility is really nice. This was my first time leaving my dog in a kennel (though I paid extra for a private room) and she was well taken care of. The staff in charge of her took the extra care to make sure she was comfortable because she gets stressed when we leave her. Though she didn't want to play with other dogs, she did well with the staff, which makes me happy. The place is clean and they seem to have it together. We'll be bringing her back in the future.
