Find a Dog Trainer in North Bellmore

I have an Irish Jack Russell Terrier.. Zuzu Gingersnap is an exuberant dog who was well intentioned but jumping on people, and ignoring commands not to mention her running away was wearing very thin. After doing my research I contacted James and he came and offered me a program where Zuzu would become aware of her missteps and be rewarded for positive behavior. I agreed to follow his method, step by step...Yesterday was my last session . Zuzu no longer jumps, comes when called and walks off leash with me. She is a pleasure to be with. James gave me the tools and I utilized them. I highly recommend his services. He is a down to earth individual who really knows " what makes a dog tick." My only regret is I did not utilize his wisdom earlier on...

Ok, so where do I start. First let me tell you that Danny and his wife are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Back in February my husband and I met a girl who had such a well-mannered dog that I initially thought that it was a service dog. To my surprise she told us that he wasn't but he was sent to a dog school for training. Well we got the number of the trainer (Danny) and a few weeks later my husband and I went to North Shore Animal League and adopted a half Border collie half-sheepdog puppy (8 weeks old). The first few weeks was very hard, our puppy was diagnosed with Parvo and spent 10 days at the North Shore Animal League Medical Ctr. Once he recovered and we got him home, the excessive biting started. It was so bad that I couldn't play with him. That's when we called Danny to have him come over to assess the situation. Danny came over and noticed right away that if we didn't get his biting under control our puppy would grow up to be an adult and continue to bite excessively because he is a herding dog. So we decided that we would do the obedience training with Danny and have our puppy stay that the Pet Spa Resort. We dropped our pup off April 18. 2016 and picked him up on May 17. 2016. The entire 4 weeks that our puppy was there we would receive a daily picture of him along with several texts to inform us on how is training is going. When my husband and I went to pick up our pup he was so well behaved, he listened to every command that Danny taught him that I was blown away. We got him home and continued with the commands and he listened without a problem.  I have to tell anyone who is reading this, I am a very skeptic person and I do not trust anyone, but working with Danny has changed that. He went well beyond my expectations. He really knows what he is doing and well go above and beyond to show you that. He worked so well with our puppy that I honestly think he has a great gift of working with dogs. I am extremely thankful for his services. My husband and I already know that when we get another dog we are sending him or her to Danny for training. The Pet Spa resort was cleaned and well maintained. I love the fact Danny took extra security measures to make sure that all the dogs he works with are kept in a safe environment. I will definitely be recommending Danny to other people. Oh and by the way, Danny's clients are not only ordinary people but also some well-known people that you would see on a daily basis. He did not treat us any differently than his well-known clients.  Thank You Danny  and Pet Spa Resort for everything !!!!!!!!

I was very happy with best friends dog training.  I sent my seven month old puppy to boot camp with Scott during my vacation. He was great with me and my children (I do not know the first thing about dogs or dog training as I have never had a dog lol). My puppy came back and did act differently. She was no longer biting and seemed more calm/willing to listen.  She was not potty trained but made some progress.  Scott assessed my home and told me step by step what to do with her to facilitate the potty training.  He subsequently came to my home three times for follow up to tell me and my family what to do to reinforce the commands the dog learned at boot camp.  (Heel, sit, come, place). I do have to work with my dog twice a day for ten minutes to reinforce the training.  It is simple and easy as she already knows the commands.  What I liked most about the company was that all of this was explained to me before.... And Scott was always up front about the fact that the dog would not be perfectly potty trained upon return and I would have to work with the dog to keep up her skills.  I will be using the company in the future for more board/train or in home lessons.

Very great store! I did a bunch of research before finding the perfect puppy here. Kim made the process very easy and was a pleasure to work with. My puppy is in great health and has an amazing personality and i couldn't be happier.

Went with my JRT for bath and nails ,,beautiful job and the staff very accommodating and courteous place very clean smells wonderful
