If I could rate Adventure Tails 100 stars I would!!
We have been working with Miranda since our now 1 1/2-year-old Bernedoodle (Norman) was 6 months old. When we got Norman we thought it would be pretty easy...hire a trainer and we'd be all set. NOPE!!!
Norman was nothing like we expected. We had no idea what we were doing and we're the first to admit it. Norman was very stubborn and just wanted to do things his way...there was no other option according to Norm.
We tried several trainers, all of who just focused on Norm. Finally, I asked our Vet if he had any recommendations. He told me to call Miranda at Adventure Tails. I got into my car and called her immediately (in tears). She came to our house the following day and we have been working with her ever since.
Miranda not only worked with Norman on basic skills, but also worked with our family directly. She asked us what our goals were for Norman and explained his behaviors so we could understand him better.
Recently, Norman completed a 6-week Board and Train Program with Miranda and her team. I can't say enough about this program!!!! The results were well beyond what we were even hoping for! Norman came home a happy, less stressed, off-leash trained dog with FANTASTIC recall skills. He was able to be himself, but understand the "rules" he needed to follow.
During the six weeks, Miranda sent training videos and updates (almost daily). She talked about why she was focusing on certain skills and the level of engagement she was getting from Norman. We met a few times toward the end of the 6 weeks to work on carry over and to help with a smooth transition home.
Norm is now just part of our family. He plays with us, goes to sporting events, and just loves to be around everyone.
We are grateful to Miranda. Without her help, I'm not sure we could have kept Norman in our home. Miranda has become part of our family and we consider her Norm's second Mom. She continues to be available to answer any questions, but more importantly to celebrate the many victories we have had with our big man over the last few months.
Norman will continue to work with Miranda and will hopefully do another B&T this winter to build on his skills and gain new ones as well.
If you are looking for a trainer, call Adventure Tails immediately. Don't waste your money anywhere else!!!

This is a top quality facility run by dedicated people who truly love animals. They understand what it's like to leave your dog behind and travel, and they go above and beyond to reach out to owners, as well as taking great care of their boarders. There's nothing else like it in the greater Albany region. Great value!

We adopted our puppy in July and struggled to find a decent dog trainer. Most wanted to use an e-collar, which according to my research, increases the stress level of the dog. One of our friends recommended Becky, and we're glad they did. She's significantly better than the previous non e-collar trainer that we tried, and as a bonus, she charges a fraction of the cost. We have done some private lessons and some small class size lessons, and will continue to come here. They take credit cards via Square and there's ample parking.
