There is no one-size-fits-all training program, because your dog isn't like every other, your dog is well, yours. Often trainers will give advise without any considerations on how you can use the space you have, and that never made sense to me. I provide custom training plans that get you to your goals, that work with the space and resources you have; whether it's using things as platforms, or making a circuit. Ultimately, the best training plan and information are things that seamlessly fit into your life. I don't take shortcuts or the easy way out, I focus on building up a strong bond and foundation with you and your dog. This enables you and your furry companion to trust you fully. The areas where I specialize in: Behavioral modification Therapy Tasks Bite work/ guarding Obedience/ manners Puppy training/ house breaking Socialization/ obedience proofing After helping neighbors, random people at the park, my own dog, and family/friends; enough people have given me the confidence to help as many people as I can. I never had pets growing up and I thought that I wasn't a dog person, but after getting a very reactive pitty mix... I became obsessed with training. Over the past 3 years, I have consumed hundreds of videos, attended seminars, online courses, worked with other trainers to learn every bit I can. I know there is so much more to learn, and I want to learn it all. My current goals are to help people and rehabilitate shelter dogs for rescue.
I love the feeling of success when you have a break through, it really does feel like your dog is going from animal to companion. It's hard to explain but it is magical for sure!
I have helped several people in a short time span with training. Whether it is getting their leash walking on point, helping with reactivity, or even house breaking. Enough to the point where most have said I seem to have a real passion for training and I should pursue this even if it is a part time venture.
I have noticed that some dog training emphasizes cramming a dog into a dog shaped mold without trying to take the time to embrace and channel the innate energy and nature of the dog into something productive. My goal is to embrace and work with the dog you have, rather than forcing it to be something it was never bred to be. There are a lot of amazing trainers out there who can get incredible results, and I am fortunate enough to have learned from some of them. However, amazing trainers are usually out of the reach of most people who are just getting their first dog.
I am able to provide training remotely. It is not ideal because really hands on training is the best, if you desire remote training I will request a short video isolating what a normal training session looks like and what some of the pain points you have, for me to take notes and diagnose.
I personally am vaccinated and boosted, on top of that I am comfortable wearing masks if desired.
