If you have a reactive dog and live in Maryland you NEED to go to Wilde Acres in Glyndon. Moose had some very serious reactivity issues with male dogs and there were a couple times that I was worried I was going to have to put him down because of it. We’ve been working so hard to help him by training every single day, going to group classes, and staying on top of it. It’s been a couple months and he’s officially made a best friend named Socks and just had the most perfect reaction with a large, skittish, male dog who is staying next door. In the past, Moose would have likely tried to jump the fence and attacked the other dog. Instead, he listened to me, was calm, licked the other pup’s face, and ended up doing zoomies up and down the fence line for a solid 20 minutes. The entire staff at Wilde Acres is just phenomenal. They are passionate about what they do and I will always be grateful to them for what they’ve done for my best friend and I.
