My name is Dr Shaun Riley. I have been a dog handler and trainer over the last 5 years. I am a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps as well as former Law Enforcement. In addition i also have a mental health background as well, goving me the opportunity to not only understand animal behaviors but pair both human and animal behaviors together, creating a perfect psychological relationship between dog and its owner.

We brought two of our pups to premier for boot camp (one two year old female, the other 5ish). They randomly developed severe aggression towards each other despite being best friends previously. After the boot camp we worked with the dogs and they are back to being best friends. I was cautiously optimistic but premier gives you the tools you need to really get the best out of your furry friends. The money was well worth not having to rehome one of our dogs. I can not recommend them enough. Wonderful experience with the staff and training!!

I brought two siblings into my home unaware of the special challenges the littermate situation can present. My vet encouraged me to find another home for one of them, but I'd already fallen in love with both of them and couldn't imagine choosing one to give up. I searched for help and found it in the form of the wonderful team at Tecla's. A year later my vet said she wishes all her dogs were doing this well. Be prepared, much of the training is about you and you'll need to be open to learning new tricks yourself. If you are ready, you'll find everyone here devoted to your dog(s.) My girls found a trusted home away from home and I never worry about them when they are at Tecla's. I found the skills and patience to give my pups a great start and had so much fun doing it, I've started them in rally classes even though I'm the last person I ever could have imagined in rally. I may sound overly passionate, but I truly do believe they allowed me to keep my dogs when no one else thought it was possible.P.S. If you aren't familiar with the world of professional dog training, the surface environment may not at first seem responsive to you the human in ways you might be used to in other worlds. (I heard this from another potential client who was frustrated that a staff member was was watching a video on her iPhone and then gave her feedback about the way she was managing her dog. Hang in there, the work they do is focused on one dog and one owner at a time. When it is your turn, you and your dog will get their absolute attention. The work they do requires that they (and you) stick with the dog until the dog gets it. I pointed out that the video the staff member was watching was of the dog she was working with (not a personal video as the client wrongly assumed) and totally part of her focus on the dog and her current client. If you want your dog to do the behaviors when these folks aren't around, you will have to change the way you handle your dog and isn't that what you really want? So, leave your assumptions at the door and enter an amazing place for dogs and the humans who are lucky enough to have found this place.
