Our trainer Brett was AMAZING. I had back surgery so he really specialized our chocolate lab Bud's training to not jump on me or knock me over. Bud was very wild and didn't listen at all. He busted my nose and knocked me out of chairs on several occasions. Our biggest concern was him accidentally hurting me after surgery, and my husband making the call do give him away due to my safety. I would have been heart broken. Brett made the time in his schedule to fit us in due to my surgery. When we got him home he was a completely different dog. Still the same sweet and silly personality but so much more calm and well behaved. He didn't jump on us when greeted, and showed us all of his new tricks.
I would text to check on him every few days and Brett sent me lots of pictures and kept me updated. He was Very down to earth and took great care of Bud. He spent several hours with us here when he brought Bud home. He took the time to explain everything and also guided us in learning how to handle the collar on our own. I'd recommend Brett to anyone and everyone. We truly can not thank him enough.
Let's get to know each other!
I've been serving Acadiana pets since 2009 in many different capacities- But I also have lifelong experience and expertise among all types of cuddly (& sometimes not so cuddly) companions.
In 2014 I decided to make a career change from the road I was travelling (VetMed), to dog training and behaviorism- after getting my heart dog "Force"

Mike and Maria are wonderful people who are truly dedicated to helping you and your dog! My Golden Retriever Mix, Z, was terrified of everything but they helped him overcome his fears in training and socialization class. They never expected too much of him or got angry with him when he wasn't listening because he was scared. They understood his fear and gave me great advice for training at home that helped his anxiety!

I am extremely satisfied with the training I received with Dogs Do Listen. I adopted a foster dog who had some extreme aggression issues. He was people aggressive and dog aggressive. He had many triggers, some unpredictable which resulted in him being confined to my home and yard. I had previously attended a training session with a different trainer who said they had experience with dog aggression who was unable to help me and said my dog was the most vicious dog they have seen and ultimately stated that I should get rid of him. I felt hopeless after that training session, and then Dogs Do Listen was referred to me by a coworker. I scheduled seven sessions with him with not high expectations due to my previous training session experience. Randy far exceeded my expectations!!! My dog is a completely new dog. His aggression is under control, and I feel comfortable taking him out in public due to the training Randy provided us. He no longer snaps at people or other animals, and ultimately will just lay down when in public. He was patient, understanding, and led by example. He was hands on with my dog and showed me how to handle/guide him instead of just verbally giving instruction. He also checked in on us after we completed our training sessions to see if we were still making progress and offered services to us if things changed moving forward. I have already recommended Randy to 4 people since finishing training 2 weeks ago (several people who just witnessed how calm my dog is now compared to two months ago). 100%, he is the guy to go to if you need help. Especially if your dog is struggling with aggression issues.

We evacuated from Florida this past week. This was our first time at Camp Bow Wow. They gave me a complete tour of the facility: the friendly staff, the exceptionally clean facility, the doggy cabins with their private T.V, the individual play areas separating the big dogs from the little dogs, a doggy sitter in each area monitoring their playtime, and the fact that each area has a camera where you can view your dog online. I felt very comfortable leaving my two dogs with them. Bianca went out of her way to make sure that my black lab was comfortable as he has a bit of separation anxiety. I appreciate this place and their staff taking GREAT care of my dogs!
