We go to work and come home smiling every day knowing that we have made life better for our clients, their dogs and their families. So often our clients call, email and text us with amazing stories about how their lives have changed because of Bark Busters. These amazing moments include messages thanking us for helping to save a dog’s life, moments where daughters and moms can hug in front of their dog without it being aggressive and stopping them, cases where two dogs that were fighting violently are snuggling peacefully on the couch and so much more. These are the things that make being Bark Busters so special! Here is what one recent client said at the end of her FIRST session!
"I am beyond amazed at the astonishing results during our session. Our puppies are like totally different dogs! This is life changing. I will recommend Bark Busters to EVERYONE!!” – Aisha H.
Before becoming Bark Busters, we really thought we knew what we were doing as dog trainers. We had trained many dogs with great success and were the “go to” resource for family and friends alike for over 15 years. Then we adopted our current dog Jules and she decided that she had other ideas about our abilities as trainers. We started to train her using the same techniques we had used with Bosco and needless to say, Jules was less than impressed! We found ourselves struggling with several behaviors that our traditional methods failed to resolve. We were at a loss and went back through our old training course materials and even turned to YouTube and reading about the newest, latest and greatest training techniques wherever we could find them. Nothing was working and we felt pretty defeated until we called our friend who owned a Bark Busters franchise for help. To our amazement, with Derek’s help, Jules responded immediately. We couldn’t believe how rapidly she turned around. Ten days later, we bought a Bark Busters Franchise and were ready to begin their intensive training program.
We know how frustrating it can be to have a dog with serious behavioral issues but rest assured, we can help! There are basically 3 ways to train a dog: using treats (bribing the dog with food), physical methods (using things like prong collars and shock collars to coerce a dog to do something), and then there is what we do. Treat training is good for tricks and basic obedience, but it is not good for removing unwanted behaviors like barking, jumping, aggression, separation anxiety, etc. Physical training may work in some circumstances, but it can worsen aggression in a dog that is already aggressive and can create aggression in timid or fearful dogs... so it is not a good idea. Our training is based on dog psychology and communication (no treats required and no harmful or physical methods ever!). It's a unique method that was developed almost 30 years ago in Australia and has worked on over 1 million dogs worldwide! We are the only company on the Treasure Coast with the rights to use this method.
