This place is amazing. We boarded our two dogs and rabbit there for more than a week and they took great care of our babies. We were concerned about leaving them for so long, but the staff was great and very reassuring. It was so completely awesome that we could leave all three pets together in one place. Not many places will take a rabbit. We are so appreciative to Bass and have definitely recommended to friends, family and coworkers. We will definitely continue to use their services in the future.

I don't have enough time to talk about how wonderful this facility and staff is. I never worry about how well she's being taken care of while I'm gone...for this I am forever grateful! I feel that Scott and Madison honestly love my dog just as much as I do. Madison always spends quality time with Lucy in her suite cuddling and giving belly rubs and I know how much Lucy loves being around people and getting loved on, so this means the world to me! Scott has always been so thorough with me about Lucy's "report card" and offers very helpful suggestions when needed and also is very genuine so you know he loves his job :) Thanks again for everything Bass Pet Resort Staff....you all rock!
My focus is helping you strengthen your bond with your buddy through problem solving, patience and fun. You'll learn how to communicate effectively with your dog to get the behaviors you want. We'll work together to shape a dog you're happy to live with - let me help you be the neighbor with "the good dog"! I've worked professionally with animals for over 20 years, so there isn't much that surprises me. I'm professionally certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and I'm a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). I offer puppy training and obedience training. My services are private, one-on-one so you and your dog will always have my full attention. You can learn more about my services and rates on my website, GraceWithDogs. In-person lessons are done in your home (outdoors with social distancing & masks, of course), and I'm also available for online/virtual and phone sessions.
I love those "aha!" moments when dog and owner connect and behaviors start to click and take shape! Usually, this is a result of finding the right way to communicate with your particular dog.
It all starting when I studied animal behavior in college - the way animals interact with each other and with our human world has always fascinated me. Over my almost 2 decades as a veterinary technician, I became the "go-to" person for advice on dog training, but never branched out on my own. When I moved to Florida, I decided to take the leap and work for myself - and I'm so glad I did!
A funny characteristic about people who work with animals, is that they tend to not like working with people. My strength lies in seeing an issue not only from the point of view of the dog, but also from the perspective of the human on the other end of the leash. While I love dogs, I also love working with people. I'm straight-forward and compassionate, able to meet you on your terms whether this is your first puppy or you just need a little refresher on dog behavior.
This is why I believe so strongly in private lessons. When you work with me, you'll have my undivided attention and you'll benefit from my many years of experience. I will train YOU to be a good dog handler, not just teach your dog a few tricks. You'll not only the basics, but also how to communicate with your dog in a way that will make him want to listen. And that's a powerful thing to learn!
