Do you want a well-trained dog that understands what you want and actually wants to work with you? Then you need my method of training - The Shambala Way. I don’t believe in using pain or harsh methods. Nor do I believe in purely positive training — because R+ trainers don’t believe in correcting a dog or setting boundaries. You may see some internet fad trainers who use choke collars or slip leads and think it looks great.

I am an independent trainer in Elizabeth, CO. All of my furry clients are trained per the AKC Canine Good Citizens protocol. I run a 2 week in-home board and train program to build a strong foundation of obedience and manners. Your pal learns to sit, lay down, wait, come, leave it, drop it and easy while also becoming ladies and gentlemen of the potty, leash and kennel world. I strongly believe socialization, as well as training, are key to a well rounded dog, so your dog is safely exposed to humans of all ages, therapy dog friends, aloof kitties, car rides, craft stores and froyo.

I gave Pine Ranch Dog Training a very harsh review earlier out of anger & frustration with the trainer.
We have since gotten together and worked things out.
I now have a better understanding of his training philosophy.
There were questions I should have asked upfront but didn’t. Specifically, what’s your training philosophy; what I can expect my dog to learn from the program, in this case the foundation program; timing; and why. The program elements are age specific, based upon what the puppy is capable of learning or understanding given its age.
Better communication would have solved some of the issues I experienced.
Would I use him again? Probably now that I have a better understanding.
