All our girls her at Pacific Skin Care love your program and all the hard work that all you volunteers do. One of the things I enjoy most about being a professional dog trainer is seeing the true difference in how owners are able to enjoy their dogs after training. From not being able to enjoy walks in their neighborhood, to running and playing off leash safely, or from barking at every passing dog to being able to be around other animals calmly. Getting to see the before and afters we create for people is extremely rewarding!
I started training dogs after growing up in animal welfare, and getting my own dog. My family’s dog growing up struggled a lot with insecurity and fear, and I didn’t know how to handle it at the time. My own first dog was much more confident, but we ran in to a different series of issues, like marking, pulling on the leash, disinterest in listening to training, and poor recall off leash. I began a mentorship with a trainer I knew for my own dogs benefit, and overtime that expanded in to mentorships and consults with other trainers, and then friends and family asking me to train their dogs, and then their friends and family asking the same, and over the course of a few years my own business training. I am grateful for my first dog and the trainers along the way who taught me what I know today.
I take pride in knowing I am able to give every owner and every dog a custom program based on their needs and goals, and past feedback has proved to me how effective these custom programs are.
