I love dogs and being able to help people create a stronger connection with their pet is my favourite part of the job. Puppy training can be particularly rewarding as well!
I can offer everything from house training a puppy to teaching an adult how to complete an agility course in competition. I specialise in commands and being able to instruct owners on how to handle their pup, as well as teaching them how to better understand their dog. One of the more specialist aspects I train on is separation anxiety.
I believe I offer a great range, including home visits, group sessions, and private one-to-one instructor classes. I’m also happy meeting in a suitable public place such as a dog park. Working with you and your dog, we’ll create a routine that works perfectly.
I have earned qualifications from: the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors, Level 3 CPD Accredited Dog Training, Diploma in Dog Training, and more. I’ve also attended dozens of seminars hosted by leading trainers/behaviourists. I’m a full member of the Guild of Dog Trainers and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

I’ll acknowledge that I’ve seen some extreme reviews, both positive and negative about James and his businesses. I can only offer my direct experience, and why I give James a 5/5. - My dog was highly leash reactive, aggressive, didn’t walk nicely, and didn’t follow instructions. - It’s only been a few months of group classes and a couple of 1:1 sessions, and my dog is materially better. There’s still work to do, but the transformation is clearly happening. - We tried so many methods, some other trainers, and wasted a lot of money, but haven’t found anything remotely as effective and affordable as James. - James is a good communicator. He is knowledgeable, collaborative, and takes the time to get to know each dog individually. - His classes are regular, on-time, accessible, and fun. I have already recommended James to many friends and neighbors, and will continue to do so as my experience has been highly positive.

Travis is wonderful! Very patient! We had our 2 1/2 year old Siberian Husky who was very unmannered and would jump on guest and our glass sliding door had a very Alpha male presence. Also had our Shepherd Husky Mix who was more follow the leader type gal & whenever I myself would come home she would jump on me and have a instant melt down to were I’d have the hardest time getting through the door to enter our home. We sent both for boarding & training for 2.5weeks. Our husky was very stubborn and standoffish with Travis for about the first 4-5 days and after the first week he had called wanting couple xtra days to work with him we had agreed it would be best to get best results out of him as he will push boundaries. Let me tell y’all this training was worth everything! You should be there the last 4 days of the dogs training as you will be taught so many key factors into implementing these tools at home. It has made such a difference! Especially owning one of the most high energy & stubborn dog breeds out there. I have no regrets what so ever. This training was the best thing me & my husband have decided to do for our dogs and family! Our Siberian husky is so well mannered now, and our Shepherd husky mix no longer freaks out when I arrive home neither of them jump on anyone anymore! 12/10
