Mrs. Hinds has a skillful ear and listens to the core needs of an individual and their family. Mrs. Hinds is a Master’s Level Licensed Clinician with over 12 years of experience in multiple treatment modalities, cultures, and ethnicities. She began her career in substance abuse counseling in 2010 in various settings including residential, outpatient, and private practice. Her Master's Degree was obtained in Human Services from Springfield College in 2013, graduating Magna Cum Laude with, a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University CACREP accredited program, and she is a member (NAADAC) (TAAP).
Healing Pathways of Houston, PLLC is a group therapy practice that provides high quality yet affordable mental health counseling services. This is accomplished through training future clinicians to practice in addition to having licensed professionals as a part of our team. Currently, we are able to provide services remotely via tele health (video and phone platform options). We offer evening and Saturday appointments. Our clients range from ages 3 years old and up! We accept most major insurance panels including Cigna, BCBS, and Aetna. We are currently in the process of enrolling with United Healthcare and look forward to working with their members soon! During COVID-19, I began creating free activities and resources on my professional social media profiles. This had such a great response that it quickly turned into an email list.
When I had to face the choice of returning to the office during the pandemic or valuing my health -- as someone with Type I Diabetes -- while continuing to work remotely, the answer seemed very clear!
I began this practice to benefit others and provide access to high quality, affordable mental health care. I do this while training other clinicians that are in graduate school to do this work as well. It becomes a mutually beneficial experience for everyone involved in the process.

From the intake call or e-mail to scheduling an appointment to meeting with your therapist, we handle as much of the barriers in between as we possibly can.
This is accomplished through offering rates at different price levels based upon a clinician's license type (e.g. master's student, pre-licensure, and post-licensure). Additionally, our clinicians each have areas of expertise that they receive regular training in such as play therapy, EMDR, chronic illness counseling, and pre-marital counseling. We offer convenient appointment times during the evenings and on Saturdays to meet scheduling needs and preferences as well.
