Well, according to my longtime clients, it's the quality and customer service that most sets me apart from others in the area of the greater DC Metro area. Most of my work is in architectural and real estate photography, but I also offer headshots. Always making sure to capture my subject in its best light, and showing their characteristics. Having been in business for over 14yrs and in photography for over 20yrs, I have developed a keen eye for what's important. And certainly gained the experience to master lights and composition.
My love is for architecture and design. The various interpretations of space for different uses simply fascinates me. In architecture, design, form and function are integral. But there is also the element of innovation; new materials, new styles, new methods.
I began my photography career as an apprentice in Germany, straight out of school. Covering everything from still life, portrait, passport, wedding, product, property photography was all part of the process. Alongside the physics behind photography. I am old enough to have learned analog photography with all the aspects to know what aperture to use when in combination with the shutterspeed and the ISO, which film to use for what, the developing and printing processes etc. The jump to digital was not the easiest, but once I realized Ansel Adams would have been all over it, I made sure to learn all about it and take advantage of the medium.
Self-praise doesn't come easy for me, but: I know what I'm doing. And I do it well.
Aside from that, I highly value customer service: Punctuality, dependability, honesty, integrity.
Most of my services can be provided remotely. Images are delivered online for review and receiving the final product. The client does not have to be at the project site, unless it's a headshot of course. In case of product photography, products can be mailed or delivered to my studio for photography.
Before vaccinations were possible, I asked to have as few people as possible at the project site. Wearing masks and keeping distance were mandatory. Once vaccinations became available, I took advantage and am now vaccinated and boostered. I still prefer to be by myself at a shoot, or only have the client with me.
