Find a Caterer in Fond du Lac

Whispering Springs is one of the best value's in Wisconsin golf. If you haven't played it yet...it is time. Stick around an enjoy the patio and bar after words. Well worth a 30-40 minute drive.

This place has only been opened for a couple of weeks, but I have high hopes based on our meal there today. We arrived around 11:30 am and had about a 20 minute wait to be seated. It's the new place in town so everyone wants to check it out. Servers were a little harried and service wasn't the best, but our server was very friendly and was trying her best. The few hiccups, with service, I'll blame on being new. Give it a few weeks and they should have all the kinks ironed out.  The food was above average with a few really creative dishes-many of which I am looking forward to trying. Today we started off with the hummus app. Today's plate held a regular hummus and a White bean and pesto hummus, both pretty good, and served with cucumber slices, toasted pita chips and charred edamame. My wife had the Brisket Totchoes-a take on Nachoes with Tater Tots subbing for the tortilla chips. Beer cheese sauce stood in the the more traditional nacho cheese. This is an app but is big enough to make a full meal out of it. I had the Chicken and Waffles. I love Chicken and Waffles and tend to be a harsh judge when it comes to this dish. While theirs didn't blow me away, it was a good version and I liked the twist they bring to it by, not only drizzling the waffle in syrup but also smothering the Chicken (breaded tenders) in sausage gravy.  As I said, I think they are still working out a few kinks, but these small issues shouldn't keep you from checking out the place. I can't wait to head back and try a few more menu items. I'm also interested in checking out the bar, which boasts a list of craft cocktails. I'm excited to see how well they handle that.
