This is one of my favorite local restaurants. Great chai lattes, healthy and tasty salads, soups, and sandwiches. Try the hummus sandwich (ingredients change per season), or try the AB&J (almond butter and jelly) which is made fresh and features local jam. Each sandwich comes with cut carrots and fresh fruit as a side. Very tasty, filling but light affair. In the peak of summer last year, I got blackberries and honeydew that were perfectly ripe.

Ok, so we were going to try out this other, but they couldn't seat us for more than an hour. Instead of waiting we looked around. Let me tell you, this place may be the most obscure place to put a restaurant, but WOW!!!!We tried a bunch for things on the menu, only one that made it long enough to get a photo was the ribs, which were an absolute masterpiece. You want go BBQ? Give these guys a try.

I go to City Dogs when I want hot dogs. That says it all. If you want the best in the area (and I believe I've tried them all) this is the place. I love their homemade slaw (secret ingredient - horse radish). Wow. I always go on Tuesdays and I usually get the 2 Dog Combo (2 Richmond dogs with mustard, chili and onions) and a side of either Cole slaw for potato salad. I always sit at the bar for quick refills of soda. The waitstaff and managers are great people. I bought the T-shirt.Nothing better than going to City Dogs on a Tuesday and then heading on over to the Bow Tie for a flic. Gotta get back soon.
