Ate here for the first time this morning and I promise it won't be the last. Atmosphere: Walk thru the door and lighting is great, not dark, was meet immediately and seated. Very kind professional waitresses. The cafe was probably about 1/3 full, it has a very laid back family feeling. Hosting: Waitresses are kind, courteous and very friendly. Ordered drink and within 2 minutes they were delivered. Coffee never got low or cold. Ordered food when drinks were delivered and in 8 minutes received everything perfect as ordered. Cleannesses: This is important to me, and they receive a gold metal here. I looked for food scraps on floor, corners, under tables, nothing, impressed.Quantity and Quality of food: the portions were average but very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfect, over well, and pancakes were still hot enough to melt butter. I've eaten in hundreds of restaurants and cafés, by far the pancakes tops them all. The flavor and texture got a 10+. Conclusion: This is now my go to breakfast in Midland. I'll be doing lunch tomorrow and I'm sure it won't be disappointing. Hats off to the workers and owners at Back in the day cafe. Very good to know that a place still exist where the customer is satisfied and happy walking in and out of the doors. Thank you.
