This was our first visit to Acropolis and we were THRILLED! We were in a hotel and ordered some to-go goodies. First off, the food was amazing! We got crispy mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and two calzones. The calzones were a HUGE hit...even delicious ice cold this morning! Secondy, the service was stellar. I'm a stickler when it comes to guest service and the folks that helped me were on the ball! They had supplies to take back to the room (plates, plastic ware, etc.) and they double checked the order while I waited--I was really impressed with that! We'll definitely be back!!

As if the line isn't long enough already, I can't believe that I'm going to write a review and divulge the secret spot of Asheville. Â I grew up in the BBQ country of NC and this place rivals them all. Â They are still relatively new (less than 2 years old), but their reputation is already platinum. Â The hallmark dish is the ribs (Blueberry Chipotle is my fave). Â However, their sides are awesome too. Â My wife is a vegetarian and even she likes going to the place. Â The only downside is that they are only open for lunch M-F. Â Don't let the line scare you, it moves fast as you order at the counter. Â Sit outside and grab a Pisgah Ale to go with your food, you won't be sorry.
