Besides my coordinator, Kelly's Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head, NC was my favorite vendor! They did an excellent job with communicating and of course, the food was amazing. All of our guests commented on the food and stellar service. I was recommend them to anyone. They were the best value, the easiest to work with and a highlight of our reception. I am a highly trained personal chef and caterer for small groups. I specialize in cooking for vacationers spending time here on the North Carolina Outer Banks. I render most of my services in the Corolla area, as well as Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills.
While I can certainly prepare just about any type of cuisine, I must say my Shrimp & Grits encompass my cooking style best and reflect the best of Eastern North Carolina fare.
My website lists many different menus that my client may choose from. I am very flexible in how we plan the menu, as it is at the heart of their special night. I feel that variety is what impresses clients the most. They are given many different options to choose from. Especially when planning a large gathering with a multitude of different palates and preferences.
I think I enjoy the challenge of it all. Each house, each group of folks is unique. Feeding large groups of people in a strange house with strange equipment, limited platters, plates and even silverware can be quite challenging.
To be honest, I was hesitant at first to make the leap into full time catering and personal cheffing. Requests for my services had been growing over recent years, with many happy customers referring myself to their friends coming down to the Outer Banks for their vacations. Well, since making the leap, I have been overwhelmed with the results. Needless to say, I am going to be very busy!
I would say mostly because I offer services at a price point well below what an established restaurant/catering company would charge. Let's face it, most restaurants that cater don't mind losing small caterings because there is no many in it. I charge a chef's fee and then pass on savings to the client because I essentially ask them to pay for the food with no inflation in cost.
I have been vaccinated and always adhere to requests of the client to make them feel safe.
