Deceiced to try this restaurant since it's come under new ownership (the old el sombrero hadn't been good for years!) It was very nice, they had a strolling guitar player, who played if your happy and you know it clap your hands for my 5 & 4 year old! The food was reasonably priced and very good! I will likely return! Mexican food is my favorite, it's nice to have a local spot close by.

You would never think the quality of the food would be good here based on the outside. A frickin gem in the middle of an area that has little to offer. I got the pork sandwich. The fried pork was a bit on the overcooked side but the overall taste was awesome! Fries were perfectly seasoned and fried as well. Definitely a place worth visiting or to grab a meal while watching a game.

Another great stay at Hilton Northbrook. As always, room was great except a bit of construction; however it was tolerable. The one thing that needs attention is the buffet breakfast. Its pretty much the same food everyday. It gets boring if you are staying for more than a couple of days. Other than that, great place to stay!
Update: when it rains, TV goes out. Switch to cable please.

Great ambiance, great food! Â Highly recommend the guacamole made fresh at your table. Â We were celebrating my husband's birthday. Â There were 7 of us all together, young and old....and all were satisfied with dinner. Â You definitely need reservations especially on the weekend. Â Food was excellent! Â Large portions. Â You can't go wrong with anything. Â Ceviche was excellent. Â Only thing I would say is an opportunity would be the tight seating. Â It was hard for the staff to move around the area we were seated. Â We will definitely return again soon.

As other reviews say. The price is high but the portions are gigantic. I would highly recommend splitting the food with someone else. I got an omelet that came with hash browns the omelet and two large pancakes. Food was good too. Nothing crazy amazing but a solid restaurant. Wish the helping were half size and only 60-65 costs of the big portions.
