I can’t wait to have this again! Top notch service and amazing food. The rice and beans are delicious, the chips and queso are amazing and the fajitas are out of this world. Throw in the fact that I don’t have to cook and can still eat this feast at home with my family, it quite simply can’t be beat.

I attended a dinner party that Emily catered and was so impressed by her clever approach to the Mexican cuisine that she prepared. Everything was recognizable and approachable for all types of eaters, but with a twist that made each bite interesting.
When I first arrived and walked into the kitchen I saw these beautiful prepared fish tacos and immediately thought, ooh, I want those! And the delightful little soup appetizer? I want that, too! The entire meal was thoughtfully planned out to reach all preferences/ restrictions. Everybody's plate was full, and that says a lot in a room full of diverse women.
You know the food is great when it sparks the conversation and connection amongst a group newly meeting each other! I'd definitely hire Emily for my own dinner parties.

I was at a recent event catered by Butterfield Kitchen...Wow!I have been to too many events where caterers think it's okay to just scoop some slop onto a plate and call it a meal. Â Certainly not the case this time! Â As a self proclaimed "foodie," it was easy to see that there was a dedicated team behind this production. Â From the well thought out menu to the AMAZING tasting, fresh ingredients, it was a meal I will never forget! Â The locally raised, organic pork loin was absolutely to die for. Â I sincerely hope I get the chance to devour another one of Butterfield Kitchens fantastic meals! Â Soon!

Perfect! The space, the staff, the night. It was all perfect! The goal for the wedding was to be a relaxed, classic atmosphere that represented our love of Chicago. Greenhouse Loft fit all our expectations and more. We were the first wedding in the space  and Jamie and Steve went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch. From the food, the photos, the opportunity to design the space all of it was seamless.I'll comment on a few things and if you should have any questions please don't hesitate to message me. We would love to share about the experience we had at Greenhouse Loft because it honestly met all our expectations. The vendors. I met with quite a few of the caterers and ultimately went with Fig but all the recommended vendors were easy to work with, understood the possibilities for the space and could design an event according to our preferences. The guests said the food was the "best" wedding food they have ever eaten. The caterer even made sure my husband and I had time to enjoy the food. It was great! The photos. The absolute favorite part of our wedding. The photo studio where guests could take their own photos was the highlight of the night. Guests really enjoyed being able to "dress up" with the props and hats. And, the photos - pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception really captured the spirit of our night to a T. I would highly recommend utilizing the photo services of Jamie and Steve they are excellent. The booze. We were able to use Binny's for our bar. My understanding is that in the future there will be liquor packages. Seeing how the caterers worked out though I'm sure the liquor package would be well worth it as well. The music. We went with a DJ however there was plenty of space for a live band. We loved Toast and Jam! They were able to get a "feel" for the night and kept everyone on the dance floor. Bottom line. Greenhouse Loft was a perfect choice for us. It was almost a one-stop shop in order to find the ultimate space for the ceremony and reception, the photographer, caterer, and music. All the key elements of the wedding. The recommendations that Jamie and Steve had for us were spot on. Since they have worked with all the vendors before it truly was a seamless night. I did not need to hire a wedding planner since the vendors knew each other so well and knew how to keep the wedding going. Our family and friends had a great time and loved the atmosphere with the open styling, wood flooring, enclosed glass. We really could not have asked for anything more!

This place is fantastic! Â The menu is not extensive, but the flavors and presentation outstanding. We had the lump blue crab with noodles and the strip steak. Each came with a delicious curry. The steak's curry was coconut based with green chilies. Delicate and delicious. The crab's was broth based with saffron. Awesome. Best of all, very reasonably priced (about $20/entree). Service was attentive and the sidewalk patio a good choice.

Went here on the opening day and was really impressed. Everyone was very kind and helpful in explaining where their food was sourced from. The coffee they use is Stumptown from New York and (though it was very delicious!) I was kind of surprised they were not using beans from a local Chicago roaster, especially since so many other ingredients were locally-sourced or house made. Also had the Bloody Mary. It was very tasty, but I definitely like mine to be a little spicier and more pickle-y. It was much better with a dollop of the Co-op Hot Sauce Chi-racha sauce (conveniently located on the table for my bountiful enjoyment).Anyway, I was told that the breakfast sandwiches were the star of the show, so I ordered the Maple Sausage Breakfast Sandwich with organic egg, house made crumpet, and house made feta spread. The sausage had great, sweet flavor and the crumpet was incredibly buttery and light (but totally held up to the rest of the sandwich). The tangy-ness of the feta spread and the sweetness of the maple sausage kind of threw me off, but again, a dollop of the Chi-racha hot sauce brought all the flavors together in one big delicious celebration of good. Finally, I had to get one of the many pastries that were taunting me from the counter, so I went for the rhubarb and ricotta "pop tart." This was incredible. The flakey crust was buttery and light and the filling was not too sweet. Seriously, buy yourself a pastry. I'm so happy to have this new place in the neighborhood and I definitely will be back again.
