I don't usually like buffet style dining, because no one watches the food and food tends to stay on the buffet too long and becomes dried out. That was not the case at the Hanna Bros restaurant. The food was AWESOME and fresh. I loved the buffet. The macaroni and cheese is out of this world! Every thing is made from scratch. We went on a Friday for lunch. On Friday's they have a seafood buffet. I don't have a complaint about anything. The atmosphere was nice and comforting. The decor was beautiful. I will definitely return.

There's a hidden gem located on the Pinewood Studios campus that is open to the public. It's the Pinewood Cafe (Hanna Bros Catering), housed in a former school building at the corner of Sandy Creek and Veterans Parkway, across the street from the sound stages. You are required to sign in with security in order to obtain a visitor pass to the facility. (No ID needed.)For only $13.25, including tax, you have access to the buffet lunch, which includes your choice of entrees and sides, along with a salad bar and a dessert. (Salad bar only is a lower-priced option.) The Cafe opens at 11:30 am, and the friendly folks running the place will welcome you and take your drink order. The day I visited, Sandra and Christy were on hand to offer water, sweet and unsweetened ice tea, and lemonade. Seating is cafeteria style on large tables. You pay first, and then help yourself to the buffet. The staff will also bus plates, and bring dessert to your table. The food is really great for the price. While the menu changes often, I enjoyed a delicious, fresh grouper entree over wilted kale and asparagus with hollandaise sauce, along with a plate of GF steamed vegetables Chef Joe Hanna was kind enough to prepare once he learned of my food allergy. I was told there's usually at least one GF entree option served each day. You can sign up for their email program to receive updated menus so you know what's being served.Pinewood Cafe takes most major credit cards (except AmEx) and requests cash tips only to be left at the table. You may even spot a celebrity or two.

I've been going here for years. I used to go about twice a week for lunch...in a hurry. They could make a side salad and two veggie slices in about 10 minutes. and HEY it helps if you tip them...they remember you! These gals are the best. Great Calzones and Italian Sausage subs....good pizza too. COLD beer.
