First let me start by saying the service was very friendly and very good. I've seen a lot of negative comments here but at least my experience was very good. I went for meatless Monday and had an assortment of small appetizers so that I can try a lot of small plates at one time. The least liked was the cauliflower wings, it just didn't impress with really no crunch and what looked like small clumps smothered in Hawaiian sauce. I had the tofu buns which I did enjoy and would like to see just a bit more pizzazz in them. Next I had the vegetable dumplings...these were very good. Last was the yasai roll which was such a different experience with ground peanuts and a spicy mustard already in the mix. It was certainly out of the ordinary. This place has indoor and outdoor seating and has a modern vibe to it. They do offer free parking but unless you know where it's at you'll probably be parking on the street. It's an all around nice location just north of the Design District. No ice tea was a let down, the only option here was matcha green tea which is a turn off. Expect moderate prices and on heavy traffic days I do recommend a reservation as seating is limited. They are true to vegetarian and vegan dishes using true veg/vegan ingredients and cooking methods. And of course they have standard Japanese options that are not meatless. Menu is posted online, have fun!

We hired Conscious Bite to cater our wedding, and could not have been happier! Alex and her team were so easy to work with, and came up with a brilliant menu to please all of our guests! They were able to create a spread that didn't leave anyone wanting, paleo and vegan alike. Passed hors d'oeuvres consisted of chorizo with a guava glaze, mini arepas with quesito, and mini chicken and waffles. Our dinner buffet was fantastic - grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, rice, beans, salad, and maduros. They did an amazing job of blending my husband's family background with my own - a perfect reflection of our life together. People are still talking about how good the food was! On top of all of that, their head bartender, Katy, designed two amazing signature cocktails that fit the theme of our wedding, and my husband and my personalities perfectly. She created a cucumber infused vodka cocktail for "Her" signature cocktail, and a bacon and maple infused bourbon for "His". Still the best cocktails I have ever had! Their serving staff and bartenders were very courteous and charmed our guests with professionalism, charisma and efficiency. We would definitely use Conscious Bite again, and recommend them to everyone. Thank you for making our wedding day perfect!
