I just ate here recently, the food was to DIE FOR, normally i am not a barbecue fan, but this places out does itself. My waitress was so sweet and checked on my table just enough to where she wasn’t a bother. I would fully recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We ate there last week for lunch and it was so good!!! I bad we had to head out the next day. There namesake appetizer was delicious and their pork , green pepper stew was fantastic! Next time in Durango we will be eating there for sure. I may have to order a New Mexico cook book!!!

Had the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and green chili. All were delicious! I will be back!

I had the delightful experience of knowing Margie Leist from the Durango Chef as part of a glow rich masthermind course I offered for women entrepreneurs. Margie consistently brought delicious food to our meetings. So good! Four different pizzas, and they were all wonderful. Brenna was a terrific server. She took orders for drinks and food and delivered all of it in good time. We didn't want for anything with her nearby. She also answered all our questions about the menu. The Smokin' Salmon "pizza" appetizer was light and tasty. We will definitely try this at home. The fennel sausage pizza was a little sweeter than the regular sausage (with green chili!) pizza. My Bianca pizza was delicious with fresh spinach. Nieces shared a Margherita pizza with chicken. We all had the shredded mozzarella cheese. We sat by the window where pizzas came out, & the aroma was wonderful. The place was busy, but we didn't feel rushed or wanting for anything. Brenna did offer us the opportunity to order dessert, but we were comfortably full. And only one piece of pizza was left behind - but we wanted to finish it!
