I used The Catering Group last week for a professional development breakfast I helped plan. Communication with Patrick was great and the food was fantastic. We ordered the sunrise breakfast which came with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fresh salsa and ketchup, assorted danishes, juice and coffee. Patrick delivered on time and set everything up quickly (wish I had taken pictures). The food was hot and delicious and there was so much that there was enough for seconds for everyone. I will definitely use them again.

I was lucky to stop by on opening day after waiting for this place to open for a few months. I'm glad I did. The place is small, with a bar. The Russian- American owned Mexican place seemed bigger but it was because the bar occupies a lot of space. This place did fine with the space; there is no real way to go bigger. They have an extensive and tasty looking menu and prices are very decent. I met one of the owners and her service is excellent. She had me try their lentil soup and a garlic and onion sauce. All of them were excellent and added a lot to the flavor. I went basic for my first meal, with a gyro and fries. The gyro was okay but not the best. Greek Chicken makes a larger one, but to be fair, it's also significantly more expensive there. The fries were thin and crispy, but a little bland. Maybe I'll need to try another side next time, and trust me, there WILL be a next time. I'm definitely going to try more of this menu. The food is good, and it's only their first day here, although the owners used to run a similar place in La Jolla. They cater too which is a plus. Nothing like good Mediterranean food in Santee! In fact, until now there WAS nothing like good Mediterranean food in Santee.
