Attended their recent "Spring Fever" pop-up dinner... wow! The sold-out event was fantastic. Welcomed with a refreshing, well-balanced cocktail. Seated at a beautifully set table next to fellow foodies. And then the dishes began arriving...Each course was beautifully presented- colorful, fresh, seasonal ingredients. - Course 1: Elote and green tomato sopa- guests were cleaning their plates with the handmade naan- Course 2: Tomato and cucumber salad with fresh herbs- loved the contrast of sweet tomato, crunchy almond, lemony dressing- Course 3: Seared snapper served over a yummy sweet potato puree- Course 4: Deconstructed strawberry parfait- perfect finish to a spring supper.Chef promises events a few times a year (more please!!!). Recommend getting on their email list so you don't miss out.

Our family is mixed. Some from JAMAICA others from Brooklyn New York. My JAMAICAN loved the cooking. She doesn’t like most people’s JAMAICAN cooking. She is as good a cook as a professional. She loved the cooking and we had all different items. There is no better JAMAICAN restaurant in ARIZONA. Don’t waste your time lookig. CHRIS and his wife are beautiful hard working family who care about their customers. The food is cooked fresh and delicious. Good things take time to cook. Jamaican food takes time. Call earlier , it will take time to cook fresh. Wherever you live make the trip to MARICOPA 85138 . Best food you will ever eat . Placed in a last minute pick up order, off the menu for a large group. Owner personally called me back and worked out a menu just for me, addressing my catering needs. He then immediately communicated this with his staff. It felt like the whole restaurant got together to make this happen for me. I picked up the food that was packaged so nicely and was able to impress a big group. The food quality was outstanding. Portions were generous. I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you

Wow! This is some delicious barbecue! Tender, moist flavorful meat and a great selection of sauces. Two thumbs up.

We were able to get a great cut of brisket here, just over 3lbs which is just what we wanted.  It may look scarce when you walk in but most of the meat is kept in the back so just ask.  In addition to pastrami brisket you can get corned beef brisket, chicken, and assorted other deli meats.  They have have a grocer section where we were able to pick up challah rolls (mmm...challah french toast anyone?), matzo meal for latkes and my husband's favorite pickles- Ba Tampte.  There are also lots of other selections ranging from candy to cous cous to egg flakes and cereals.  They have a pizza place next door (which may have deli offerings as well...) called King Solomon's but Segals itself is just a pure butcher and grocer.  Having grown up with kosher pizza we opted to not grab a slice because to be honest, kosher pizza isn't all that good.

went here  today for the lunch buffet with Rand H. and it was amazing!!!! This place is going to my top ten list. I started with a bowl of corn chowder that was very good and then I had  a plate containing green beans with chopped bacon and onions,scalloped potatoes,BBQ pork spareribs and some pickled beets.All were just great.I went back and  got more ribs and the green beans they were awesome.then it was on to the desserts witch are lots to choose from and they are real good. I had this piece of carrot cake that had a solid pineapple top layer on it.Best carrot cake i ever had.i also had this pecan pie square but made with macadamia nuts yummm. They also had apple crumble with real whipped cream that was pretty good.  My lunch was so good this place is going to my top ten list. yum yum yum yum yum yummmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
