Find a Building Contractor in Northridge

We recently remodeled our master bedroom/master bathroom, updated the laundry room and installed a new HVAC system with Pearl Remodeling. We interviewed several contractors from different companies but Ben from Pearl Remodeling was the most personable and understood our vision.           When we first met, he quickly made a 3D plan on his computer so we could see what the rooms would look like. Ben also gave us a fair price for the job and was great at expediting our construction permit. We were ready to start in just 2 weeks.          We stayed in our house through the remodel. Ben and his team made sure to cover  the other areas of the house and clean up at the end of each day to avoid too much dust.  Ben and his team were always available to answer our questions throughout the process.  Whenever we sent an email or text, Ben was quick to respond. They also included us in every decision for the design.  We appreciated their attention to detail. Ben repeatedly showed us that he will not finish a project until it is perfect for his client.          Overall we had a great experience with Pearl Remodeling. Ben was honest and finished the project as scheduled. We will definitely recommend Pearl Remodeling to our friends and family. We also want to say THANK YOU to Santiago (Ben's right hand man) and his team of workers as they have given us the master bedroom and bathroom we had been dreaming of.

Alec answered the phone when I called! He came the first day to see the scoop of work. He came back exactly when he said he would with a helper and did an amazing job. Very clean! Even took his shoes off! All my neighbors want to use him now!

From the beginning really liked how they used face masks given COVID19. Also really liked how fast they responded to our bathroom remodel request. They responded to my home advisor request the same day to set up a free quote. They gave me the price on the spot. When we decided to go with their company they were able to start the following week. They stuck as close to the timeline given the circumstances and changes made throughout the remodel. They also had constant communication throughout the process ensuring we knew who was coming, to do what, and when. They did well cleaning up all of their construction work each day as I have 2 young kids so cleaning up at the end of each work day was a big deal for us. I gave a 4 out of 5 though as the price for plumbing changed substantially during the remodel. We did do a plumbing change (moving toilet) which was not discussed in the quote so I understand a price increase for that. However the other plumbing work (double vanity, move of shower plumbing) was discussed in the beginning and they told us after the plumbing was done that the price was being increased for those as well. It should be said though that even with the price increase they still were fair with the cost of everything else. Though there was some miscommunication with the plumbing cost, we would still choose to use Royal again for when we redo our master bathroom. We will be sure though to review the quote better the next time around.

Neev Kugler represented Colossal Builders when he presented his credentials for the remodel of our kitchen.  He made several commitments and we decided that they were the ones to use. Every thing Neev said, from a short turn-around to constant communication throughout the project, he lived up to. They delivered on all aspects of the project. Bottom line, on budget and on time. We are completely satisfied with the job they did.

We needed someone to come in to correct a large two-story addition to our home that was built completely improperly by a previous contractor. The original work done was so bad that it had also affected major parts of the original home, created major water leakage, etc. Our home was in distress and my wife was pregnant with our second child. We were desperate and our backs were against the wall.The work done by Oz and his team was immaculate. Not only did he come in and give an incredibly fair and comprehensive quote (i.e. he did NOT take advantage of us financially from the beginning, and he could have), but he went over and above what he included in the quote, and just did what was necessary as he uncovered 'hidden issues' from the previous contractor, and he didn't charge us extra for them. When we asked for a change that we wanted to the scope, he always tried his utmost to do the best for us in terms of cost and time. This guy literally saved our butts when we needed someone the most, not to mention tens of thousands of dollars. Beyond all of that, the greatest compliment I can give him (and the reason anyone who is considering using him should do it rather than using anyone else), is this guy is honorable. Its in his character, and he puts that before money. He is a consummate professional with incredible knowledge and experience, and an absolutely impeccable conscience. In fact, when he first came onto the job site in our home, he refused to touch or do anything or accept any money from us for the work, until we had assured that there was no mold and everything was remediated completely, as he told us that 'he would never expose his guys to that danger, and it would be just as dangerous for us, especially for a pregnant woman'.  When we were in a very tough situation, he stepped up and took ownership and control of the problems someone else had caused (a difficult and risky proposition), and he just fixed everything for us.  I think you would be extremely hard-pressed to find any other contractor with the body of knowledge, experience and character as this man has, and I will never forget what he did for me and my family. Everyone knows that building/remodeling projects can be stressful and painful. Do your future self a favor and use him. When you look back at your project, you will be glad you did.

I recommend this company, Mike, the owner of The Drain Whisperer, is very knowledgeable, and will fix the problem. He came and took care of my issue quickly, and also gave me a tip or two on how to not have issues come up. Thanks again Mike!!

I have stuck with Evergreen Construction through three bathroom remodels and that says a lot. I hate construction projects but dealing with Jimmy helped me survive nicely. He is super calm, always nice and easy to deal with. Most importantly, he never backs away from responsibility and is always happy to attend to any corrections. Reasonable and reliable!
