Yes, most of my practice now consists of online or remote clients. Accounting software I use is Cloud-based, so client can easily access their data, no need to install software on computer or send me bookkeeping backup files. I can easily log into their bookkeeping data file. Data is real-time with no latency. Accounting software I use synchronizes with bank data feed and integrates with other business applications. Any sensitive documentation, tax records, etc. can be easily uploaded to our secure, encrypted portal site. Receipts, statements and other supporting documentation can be quickly uploaded with a snap of photo with receipt capture technology that I use in my practice. Meetings are conducted virtually through Zoom.
My practice is now online/remote (see above). Even for those clients that I are located within my geographic area, business is conducted remotely with them as well. In those situations where I must meet with a client, I ensure that social distancing protocols are followed in adherence to local and state mandated guidelines.
