Like no other salon in Fort Lee. Stopped in for a manicure/pedicure special-loved it! Clean pedicure sink, and I even got to sit in a private room. I made some phone calls and caught up with work emails (free wifi)- yay! I spent the rest of the time relaxing and drinking some tea and eating snacks the staff offered me (so nice). Now, I can go home and finish relaxing. Will definitely be back. Thank you :)))

I came into the salon the day after a awful color and cut job at another salon...and they completely saved me! They are awesome, they are able to fix my color (even though it had just been processed), and get it cut and looking better than I would have ever imagined. :-) The rest of the staff was great and pitched in to help out, they all worked together like a team.

I've been getting my hair done here since I was in Middle School and I'm now 24.Harold Melvin Beauty Salon is a lovely black owned salon located on the Upper West Side. The location is right off of Broadway. The location is great there are always things to do around here.The salon is full service. There are different stylists here that specialize in many things. However, all of them have a full grasp on the different hair procedures. Now, I'm not that adventurous so I usually just do the normal wash & blowout. However, I've seen some amazing hair done here.Weaves, braids, expert coloring. The staff here is super friendly and everyone gets to know you, once you become a regular. Can be a bit pricey depending on what you're getting done. All in all just a lovely salon.
