The event had much to do with learning than with pure entertainment. It was a school-wide event, and the main topic was "Body and Mind".
And what are illusions if not just what our brain does with sensory input ? This is where Marty comes in. The challenge was to present a piece of "magic", in a fairly short period of time, and make hundreds of strolling kids of all ages and their parents, walk away with a better idea of how the brain works.
It was a pleasure, from the the first phone call, that Marty got the gist of what we were trying to achieve. He adapted to the environment of the event and made a lot of eyes pop and minds a bit smarter throughout the evening.
He will certainly be hired again for this and other events, including by parents for their own business events, as he has demonstrated that he can provide the entertainment and engage with his audience for a truly fun time. Thank you Marty !

A grand surprise to add to my Birthday !! Marty surprised my friends and I at my favorite bar during cocktails. We we're all amazed and charmed by Marty's magic tricks and deck of cards! . How long have you been interested in magic?
I've had an interest in magic since 2000 and started to actually perform before "PAYING" audiences in 2004 after training at the world famous MAGIC CASTLE in Hollywood, CA among other places.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
I move along at a fair pace and have a wry/sarcastic sense of humor that I utilize depending upon the byplay. I also move only as fast as the audience allows for, in other words if they need EXPLANATION I give it to them so that they are clear on the happenings, I try to be inclusive and allow for PARTICIPANTS in the magic. It's my firm belief that INVOLVING others in the MAGIC HAPPENING is more fun than just having me do tricks/effects for everyone. I bill myself as a FAMILY ENTERTAINER, however note that the attention span of the kids 1-6 is limited as is their general understanding of the MAGIC HAPPENING.
What do you love most about your job?
I am of the opinion that it's not the magicians job to FOOL folks so much as to ENTERTAIN them, though having said that I love the look on people's faces when I have "STUNNED"/"AMAZED" them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just wanted some level of inedependence and to support my magic hobby MYSELF as opposed to having my "DAY JOB" do that for me.
