I have used Ken for years after my brother referred me to him. I never really thought much about the value of a good CPA, but now that my taxes have become more complicated with a business and a couple of buildings, I have grown to really appreciate the value. This year, I thought I would owe money and Ken actually got me a good refund that more than covered his fees. This CPA is very unprofessional and unfair. He wanted all the work done in terms of giving him all the calculated numbers so that he can just plug those in to his system. I explained to him at the beginning that I was a single member LLC but his still charged a ridiculous amount for labor that he did not do. I’ve been trying to personally speak with him for a while now, but every time I call I’m told by his assistant that he’s on another call and that I can reach him by email. He never completed my taxes. They were done by another individual. He received my deposit that I didn’t ask for back and he is still sending me invoices claiming I owe him when he never completed the job. Don’t make the same mistake I did I trusting in them to do the job. Stay clear!! To your reply: I don’t understand how it’s called pro bono work when you receive a deposit for one and you never completed the job. Some one else filed my taxes. Fan-Tastic! Nothing less than... Is how I can best describe my experience sitting, across the desk from Ken. I arrived anxious, fearful. .. "lost" might be a better way of saying it. Burdened with bundles of files. He welcomed me. Heard, understood my dilemma, and reassured me: "Don't worry. It's not that bad. All will be fine. We'll just take it a-step-at-a-time. Let's have a look." So it went. Communications were clear and direct from the get-go. With his Admin Assistant, every so often, checking-in, confirming this and that. Low per hr rate however took much longer than what he originally advised with different excuses, once I asked him to just shut down the project suddenly he was already done and did not need more time, my advice is do not hire unless is a flat fee or he will drag on your project, also never was able to provide outlined invoice on exactly how the hrs he charged us where allocated, any professional cpa should supply without asking. Advise hire flat fee only!

Pay attention to the negitive posts its been years but all those posts were all too familar. Be very careful or even just stay away save yourself the aggravation. He seems knowledgable but fair and honest with billing is questionable. Ken is a true professional and was a massive help getting my resolution to my problems! He has built a roadmap to success!

I contacted Ken very close to the tax filing deadline. He was agreeable in working with me and tried his best to get my taxes filed before we needed to request an extension. I was the one who slowed us down. Not Ken. He was alway very patient with me, honest with me, and a true professional. The added bonus was Jennifer his assistant. She was so supportive and understanding of why things took so long with me. She was compassionate and made me laugh when I really needed it. Yes, it must have been quite frustrating for Ken to work with me, but he hung in and once he understood what my challenges were, he treated me with a great deal of respect and flexibility. We had a few frank conversations about both of our perspectives and we came to understand each other’s points of view. His turnaround time was excellent and my overall experience was very positive. Next year I will be better prepared and punctual with tax documents. There’s no way I’m putting that poor man and his assistant through that again (not to mention not to myself either.) Kenneth was prompt to reply, he and his team set up an appointment within a day. Easy to communicate and work with based on our needs.

His entire business model is a scam. He targets first year business owners who are gullible enough to sign his contract whether they need him or not and somewhere it must say he can charge you whatever he wants whenever he wants. Then if you have anything to say about it, he threatens you with litigation. He made up hours and invoiced without even tracking said hours; just an amount on a fancy sheet of paper. I was charged for services that had no benefit or bearing to standard operations within the company and my company dissolved on direct account of his terrible “advice”. Wish I came here sooner. I have been searching high and low for an Accountant I can trust. I did my tax return elsewhere and felt like I needed a second opinion and also needed help with my small business.
