K9 Sam Dog Training

We have a rescue vet thinks is mini Aussie doodle. Vet thinks she is around one year. Was abandoned at home in crate by original owner. When we got her we were amazed at how loving and smart she is. However, she was clueless regarding all matters concerning doggie manners . Her name is Chloe. We called Sam and she is a new dog! He worked miracles with her! Sam is a great trainer. His positive reinforcement techniques made training fun for my 7 mo. old pitty mix.

He is professional, on time and responds quickly to text messages with me. He is patient and kind with my dog. Sam told us exactly what we needed to help out pup get off to a great start with training and discussed what we needed to do between sessions to continue Tye' progress.

Sam has been great with my dog. I have a one year old Aussie that I was really frustrated and considering on giving up. I love my dog but he has way to much energy and would drag me when we walk. Got to the point that I prefernhe do his business inside instead of me taking him for a walk.
I had gotten wrist surgery and couldn't deal with his constant pulling and running.
No matter how much I yelled, yanked and pulled there was no budging and he acted like he was the boss. We are down to lesson 3 and my baby is another dog.
You can barely listen to Sam's voice when he is training and it is like magic. My fur baby loves him and I am thankful for him. More...

Services were great and effective. So pleased I invested in Sadie's training! Sam was very punctual and caring - being so in tuned to her emotions. Each lesson she excelled in a task or two at least! I was amazed. We used the prong collar which turned out to be key - not punishing her but directing her to what was being taught. I am still using the collar for now, although her obedience is so on point, she is still in training - 9.5 month Toy Poodle.

We decided to use K9 Sam Dog Training services recently. Our dog Hazel needed some behavior modification and my wife and I needed to learn how to be consistent with her training. Sam demonstrated the proper commands and techniques to use while walking our dog .. she responded so quickly to Sam’s training techniques . Amazing! First session and my dog is responding to sit, stay, heel.. she is a revue with NO training. Very happy and looking forward to our next session!

There was a sudden big improvement with my puppy after 1 hour which surprised me. 👍

My trainer visiting me at home to work with my dog was better than prompt. He was fifteen minutes early. He worked with my dog one on one for thirty minutes then gave me a ring.
The reason I reached out to a trainer is because of how powerful the pull on the leash my dog had when walking and when she saw another dog or cat. I had reservations when he had me order a “ prong collar” but the device does not compromise the skin but mimics the “ pinch” the mother dog would use for correction.
At the end of one hour I had my dog walking beside me with slack on the leash. I am assured that the prong collar would only be needed until the needed collaborative behavior becomes more conditioned. I plan to return to the martingale type collar after conditioning is achieved . I found the trainer Sam Laufer easy to communicate and work with. More...

Sam changed our misbehaving black lab the first day he came to train him! Our Maverick is a year old and had regressed in his behavior over the last few months when our kids went back to school and no one was home during the day anymore. I hired K9 Sam to work with my golden doodle because the dog was put of control. He would go after people and other dogs he also would jump on everyone. After just 4lessons my dog is a real pleasure to walk. He isn’t perfect but he no longer bothers other dogs or people walking or riding bikes when he sees them and he no longer jumps on guests coming to my house. Sam gets it done. I talked with Sam about 7 weeks ago after I was having problems with my dog that was too much for me to handle. I liked the price that Sam charged but also his drive and confidence that after he was done with him, my dog Milo would be like a new dog. I am more than impressed and can say that yes, he is like a new dog. It’s a night and day difference and that’s all thanks to Sam. Couldn’t have done it without him. K9 Sam was such a blessing to our family and our puppy Maxine. Maxine is a hyper golden retriever with energy and environmental anxiety. We could not walk her because she would pull in her leash and run back and forth in front of us. She was a huge tripping hazard. She would not follow basic commands and was exhausting! Sam was magic! He was gentle, attentive and consistent in his response to Maxine. After about 6 sessions she is a manageable pup who now follows commands and walks on a loose leash. Sam has been great with my German Shepherd. We started with obedience training at around 9 weeks and began protection training at about 3 months old. She’s 4.5 months old now and she’s doing amazing. My pup is so responsive to commands and her advancement in protection training from week to week is unreal. Sam is absolutely the best and he treats my dog with love and respect and keeps a good command of her. Sam came to my home but didn't know how to move forward with my dog as he isn't food motivated. Very disappointing as I was encouraged by all his 5 star reviews. He stayed 15 minutes and threw in the towel. He didn't mind asking for $20 in gas money which I now wish I hadn't given him. More...

This dog was not well , they rescued him 4 days ago, and was being treated with anti nausea , I medication, I explained I could not train the dog after I carried it out , because he would not walk

Sam has our 5 month old Bull Mastiff doing commands I would expect from a dog that's a year old if not older. Well worth the investment.
