I was very very disappointed. Darcy was very kind. And it is clear she loves animals. However, I sent my dog for a board and train because my dog was having issues beyond just training. My dog could sit and stay. That was not the issue. My dog was aggressive On leash with other dogs and sometimes people, would bark or be aggressive to people that was near my car if she was in it, aggressive my other dog and actually have a Jekyll and Hyde moment and literally attack my other dog for no reason, was food aggressive, she was over protective with me to the point where she would even snarl and lunge at my daughter if she got close. My dog has Terrible anxiety, territorial issues and needed behavioral training and to treat severe reactivity. I told her my goals was to be able to take my dog with me places because I could not as she was. Darcy told me that she would handle this and that while maybe not everything would be solved that surely the training would help and then she would work with me afterwards so I can continue to reinforce behavior. After taking my couple of thousands of dollars, and promising change… nothing changed. While the dog did well with the trainer nothing changed at home. As for at home training I got 1-2 hrs with the trainer AND THAT WAS IT! I reached out and told her how disappointed I was and that I should get a refund. I invested in her word and nothing changed. I have the same issues. She told me she would provide more Ongoing training with me and call me back. Tick tok tick tok. She kept the money, did not fix one behavioral or anxiety issue with my dog and never called me for more training to help Me With my dog. My life with this dog is EXACTLY as it was except that have over $2000 less in my checking account. I valued her word and her expertise and it was blown away in the wind along with the money that I counted on helping me due to the training. I am upset, disappointed and feel betrayed by the love I have for this dog and just wanting her trained so the dog could live a Less anxious and more fulfilled life. Sadly I DO NOT recommend this training for more anxious and aggressive behavioral issues. If that is what you looking for IT IS NOT THIS. More...

We love Hope Dog Training! Our boy, Fang, has been coming to see all his friends for the last 2-1/2 years. They did his initial puppy training when he was 6 months old. We brought him back last year to do some additional training with him and it was amazing. As a 153lb Great Dane/Mastiff, it was important to us to be able to have control of our boy, him being able to listen as well as him feeling safe and sociable. HOPE was amazing in giving us the tools and training. We board there regularly as well. Most recently we were under an evacuation warning due to the fires. Without hesitation, Darcy was happy to board Fang for a few days for us until we could figure out the situation. I highly recommend HOPE, Darcy, Brooklin and all the trainers and staff. My 11 month old Doberman, Roux, recently completed the 3 week overnight training course. Prior to coming to HOPE, we had rescued Roux, and he had developed a ton of bad habits and behaviors that were challenging for us to break. We also have a 3 year old Doberman, Loki, who we've had since 7 weeks of age and is seemingly perfect. We couldn't understand what roux needed to be successful like his brother Loki. After much trial and error, we booked Roux at HOPE, where he spent 3 weeks with his trainer, Alvin. During the whole process, Alvin sent us daily updates, which included a video of Roux's progress along with a detailed description of how the day went. Alvin always explained our pups strengths and weaknesses, and allowed us to ask questions and stay completely involved in the process. Our family felt overwhelmed without having our pup at home with us, and Alvin did a fantastic job at easing our worries and making sure that Roux had everything he needed during his stay. The daily communication and updates allowed us to learn along the way and watch the amazing progress that our dog was making. When week 3 arrived, we came to pick up Roux in complete shock and excitement for how well trained and obedient he has become. It wasn't just the list of commands that he had learned that made it so great, but also the deeper respect and bond between owner and canine that Roux has been able to form with us. We are still learning how to communicate with our pup the way Alvin did, but so far, Roux has been able to successfully maintain everything he has learned at HOPE here at his home. When we dropped Roux off for his first day, we felt a sense of doubt in our dog--that he would be too stubborn to excel in the course (he is a wild, stubborn child lol). However, we have been so pleased by the amount of growth he has made in such a short period of time. Alvin, his trainer, did an excellent job teaching him all the tools to be a more successful working dog. We are excited to continue this journey of growth and return to hope for more advanced training sometime in the future. Roux has changed immensely, both in obedience and behavior. We believe that this will make Roux more fulfilled in his daily life and give him more purpose. We are beyond happy with the service at HOPE and the outstanding and skillful work by his trainer, Alvin. We would 100% recommend HOPE training to any and all families who are in similar positions as us, or who just need to learn a few extra commands. If giving a 10 star review were possible, I would more than happily give it for the 3 week overnight training course that I enrolled our 8 1/2 month old American cocker spaniel, Bentley Bean in last month. I shopped around calling 12 other training facilities getting basically the same information...as soon as I called HOPE Dog Training and Hailey answered, I knew right away I had found THE right training facility first our dog. Hailey's enthusiasm, ability to communicate and breakdown exactly what to expect from the obedience training course provided me with, well yes, HOPE!! I went to their facility the very next day to take a look around and get a feel for the place. Hailey, Daniel and Darcy met me at the front reception desk, they answered every question that I had and informed me of details that I hadn't even thought of. Bentley was behind on one of his vaccines ‍ they let me know that I could either take him to our vet or they could give it to him the minute he checked in for training - just another reassurance that our dog would be in excellent hands and having that option just made things easier as my husband and I were preparing to leave first thing a two week toad trip to Tennessee. From the day of drop off to the day of pick up, communication and daily video updates with both HOPE staff and his phenomenal trainer, Allie, let me know how training was going, what areas our dog needed a little more focus/work. The daily video updates made Bentley's progress visible and I was able to see that a bond of mutual respect and trust had been forged between Bentley and Allie. A couple days before we were due to pick Bentley up from the HOPE training facility, I was made aware that Bentley had an ear infection (a common occurrence for cocker spaniels). I asked Allie if they could get him to the vet at their facility, unfortunately he was booked...Allie let me know that the staff was able to both schedule an appointment and take him to our family vet's office the very next morning!!!! Talk about a) ensuring the well being of the dogs that they are caring for and b) GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I scheduled a pickup day and time with our trainer, she came out and went over the basics of everything she had covered with our Bentley throughout his 3 week overnight training...then she brought out our boy for me to give it try out the new collar, training commands, etc. She explained that there would be a period of acclimation; where Bentley would have to get used to the idea of his training was still expected of him, even at home. It has been 4 days since I picked him up and I am thrilled to say that Bentley is still on track, a few minor hiccups, but all that he learned at HOPE training center has indeed given us the hope that Bentley is our dream dog. All dreams take a little HOPE, dedication and work to turn into reality. Thank you ALLIE, HAILIE, DANIEL, DARCY, BROOKLYN and everyone else at HOPE DOG TRAINING!!!! More...

We are able to build on the obedience that Alvin trained Max on each and every day. Everyone at H.O.P.E. are very knowledgeable and compassionate animal lovers that we can entrust our pets to any day of the week. For that reason, I bring Max back just so he can have his play dates with Alvin, Hailey, Courtney, the rest of staff and other pets in house. I researched so many training facilities prior. H.O.P.E. I LOVE HOPE Dog Training!!! I sent my 3.5 year old Australian Sheppard, Asher, to their 3 week training & board program and he came back an angel. I mainly sent him there to help with his leash reactiveness, obedience, getting along better with other dogs, begging, jumping, & barking at people walking by the window and he is significantly better in all aspects. He now listens a lot better, is soooo obedient in command, stays in place when directed when we need him too/when we are eating, and is a lot easier to take on walks. He even loved hanging out with all the other dogs at the training camp. Alvin was our main trainer and Darcey was also great. Alvin sent us the best update videos and pictures daily and made the wait to get our dog back that much easier. Alvin was so knowledgable on how to train dogs correctly and how to correct and reward their actions. His "back home" session with us taught us so much, helped us understand how to continue training and use commands, and he made sure we were confident before he left. TLDR: Hope was a great investment in our puppy and AJ is an amazing trainer. Highly recommend. When we brought home an 8wk German Shepherd I had every intention of training her to be a polite well mannered doggo. Fast forward to 3 months later and though she had the basics down 75% of the time I realized I had overestimated the time and patience it took to train a puppy. I googled and yelped all the dog training in the area, reading every review to see who would treat our baby the best, and ultimately my fiancé and I decided on HOPE. We called and Brooke (I think that was her name?) answered our multitude of questions and invited us to come see the facility. That day we signed Kira up for training to drop off the next day. It was hard leaving our puppy in someone else's hands for 3 whole weeks, but we were reassured with all the happy smiling faces and enthusiasm when we dropped her off. AJ was assigned as her trainer and he couldn't have been nicer. He went over what he would be teaching her and asked about any behaviors we wanted him to focus on. Every day we got pictures or videos of him working with Kira (even if the iPhone to Android connection left the videos blurry). On our pick- up day AJ went over everything she learned, demonstrated it to us, had us do the training and corrections and spent 2 hours answering questions and making sure we knew how to continue the training. Now that she's home we definitely see a noticeable change in her demeanor. She is calmer and listens a lot better (especially when about to chase our cats). Her heeling on walks is fantastic, where before she wouldn't lunge, but constantly pull to be ahead. Now she walks calmly beside me. However since she's so smart she realizes she only needs to listen when the collar and leash are on, it's hit and miss when it's off, so we will probably be looking into off- leash training. More...

I called this dog training facility and asked what their training philosophy was and what kind of tools they use for training and they use prong collars and E collars. Basically they inflict pain on the dogs in order to training them producing fear. They were also very vague in their explanation on their philosophy and the girl had to keep putting me on hold in order to answer my questions. Then when I asked about certification, she put me back on hold and a new person got on the phone and said, how can I help you. So I had to start all over. Brittney (I think her name was, not sure) said, "They do have certifications, I can't see them from here because they are on the wall, but. you can come down here and look at the wall, or you can ask a trainer during the evaluation." So basically I have to pay first or drive down to Norco and look on their wall because they don't know off hand, or can't go look at the wall to tell potential clients what certifications their trainers have. All of this is a big red flag. People need to ask these questions because there are a lot of people who say they are trainer, but are not. They sounded good on their website at first. More...

I have loved and dogs all my life. After showing in AKC and doing sport dog trials, I decided I would like to teach people what I have learned so they can have as much fun as I do with my dogs.

I am very interested in knowing what it is that is making your dog tick. This is what helps me choose the best method of helping the owners understand and communicate with their dog for a long and happy life together.

I prefer to do it in person. Animals and people vary and hands on is how I teach.

We wear mask and sanitize continuously. We maintain the current required recommendations by the state and county.
